Most Wanted 1/12 scale figures

I was just looking through BBTS sale offerings and one hit me. I'd like to see some cartoon TMNT characters rendered in a more realistic style, maybe as though they were in not produced TMNT live action films. I'm thinking guys like Metalhead, Slash, Rat King, and Leatherhead. Slash is probably the easiest because all you'd need to do is slightly tweak the ones NECA's already delivered.

It sounds like this is what Mondo is doing with their 1/6 scale line for TMNT, but yeah, it'd be fun to see in a more affordable scale as well.

Yeah that Donatello they showed at SDCC looks astoundingly cool. Exactly the feel I'd like. I want that, in a teeny tiny package, please.

Those Mondo turtles are being done as if the first live action film continued and incorporated toon and comic concepts, but using later 80s-eatly 90s tech.
That would be a fun set to have in 1/12 scale, but I don't know how many more versions I can keep buying (2012 versions and basic Archie versions are the most likely end point for me).

I'd also love Space Ghost, Herculoids and Thundar. 80s Looney Tunes and corresponding Tiny Tunes, as well as compatible Disney mainstays (Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Minny and Daisy to start).

I have thus far resisted all TMNT toys since the 90s. I've come close a few times, (I keep looking at the Super 7 MetalHead and Slash because one was a favorite back in the day and the other is the one I never had), but if I were to pick up new TMNT, I think it would have to be something like that Mondo 1/6 Donny. That I'd grab in 1/12.

I forgot about BG3. I'd definitely get Lae'zel, Karlach, and Shadowheart.

I'd take some Cartoon Network nostalgia, too. Specifically Courage and Dexter.

Man, what a great topic!!!!

It may sound insane, but I've been wanting 1/12 figures of Twin Peaks forever. I'd honestly buy every single character that was made. At the very least, I need Dale Cooper, Laura Palmer, Sheriff Truman, Albert Rosenfield, Gordon Cole, Killer Bob, and the Little Man From Another Place
I neeeeeeeever would have thought of this, but damn that would be amazing.
This as well!

I guess my big wants... One would be a full crew from Firefly. But the other would be supplementing my Joe Classified collection, which is figures from the Modern Warfare games. Ghost, Price, Farah, Soap, Gaz, etc, along with some of the villains and even multiplayer operators. I would go as hard as they let me, as long as it's hasbro quality. But only the MW games would interest me.

  • Neca/Mafex/Sh figuarts movie Ghostbusters. How is it we still don't have great 1/12 GBs? There's been plenty of attempts, but none have fully captured the movie look and details, and that's to say nothing about actually capturing the likenesses. One of these 3 companies could get them right, finally. Full accessory loadout.
  • Dark Souls/Bloodborne/Elden Ring, full line of figures covering every cool armor from all fantasy Fromsoft games. I don't know what company could or should make them, but I want them fully detailed with loads of paint washes and grimy textures, great articulation and enough accessories. Neca, SHF, Jada, Spin Master, Mcfarlane, Four Horsemen, Jada, Mafex, heck even hasbro could do them decently.
  • Hasbro/Neca/SHF/Mafex Harry Potter line, covering at the very least most characters and a few different looks for the main kids. Based on the films primarely, but a sub-line based on the magical art inspired by the books would be cool as well. How is it we still don't have a great Harry in 1/12? I think Hasbro would do them justice; SWBS-style details and articulation, with great care for likenesses and a few spells, books or world building accessories. They could even do a Haslab dragon or something.
  • A similar line to the HP one, but for Lord of the Rings, movie and book based. Hasbro could do them decently well. So could Neca, maybe even Mcfarlane. Unfortunately SHF began doing them, but they did them so poorly I don't think they're gonna continue with them. I cannot believe how bad the figures they made are. But imagine a line to rival Toybiz' one. Impossible in this day and age, maybe, but look at Neca's TMNT output. If they did that but with LOTR? Man. Or maybe Mafex could do the main characters from the movie; at least they would be better than SHF's offering.
  • A realistic, historically accurate line of medieval knights, "vikings", anglo-saxon warrios, highlander scottish warriors, etc. Basically all european medieval-ish warriors that could battle together. Full historical detail, amazing articulation, great historically based weapons. Just base everything on the most cool-looking historical armors and weapons. Maybe add a bit of fantasy to fill in the details and make them fit with existing lines. I'm actually slowly designing a line like that right now, but with no funds and me not even living in the US, I really don't know where to start. For the time I'm settling on an articulation style and designing the base bodies.
  • Jada Delicious in Dungeon line. The anime is fantastic and has a ton of cool character designs and monsters to make. The main cast are only 5 characters (as of yet) and would be easy to build a line around, kinda like how Jada is doing with Scooby Doo. Figma is doing them, but at a high price and unfortunate low quality, it seems.
  • I may be the only one who wants something like this, but a line based on Jeff Smith's amazing Bone and RASL comics would be incredible. Bone already had a line made in the 2000's, by Resaurus and Jeff's company, Cartoon Books, but imagine a full line made by Neca or Jada, or even Mcfarlane. Bone is probably the biggest indie comic out there, somehow has never actually been adapted into a show or movie (thanks for canceling the series, Netflix!), but we've seen a toyline inspire producers to actually do a show before. If there's a comic that deserves to be made into a show and a quality, full line of action figures, it's Bone! There's so many cool and interesting designs to make, so many amazing characters that you truly get to love, and they just don't have good figures. RASL is also quite an interesting story and has cool designs, they could certainly do at least a wave with the main characters. More figures using Jeff Smith's cool art style is a win in my book.

Sorry for the wall of text! Hopefully someone actually reads through it, lol.

Of course, yes, someone FINALLY nailing movie Ghostbusters would be awesome. I would definitely want them NECA-scaled though.

I'm still holding the ever diminishing hope that someday, someone will make a comprehensive Legacy of Kain line! I really wish at this point in my life I had gotten into customizing when I was young, so I could have made a full collection from that series.

All of my favorite IPs have been done many times over, I honestly don't think there's an answer.

I do believe that Jada is probably the best in the business as far as affordable retail goes and if they got the rights to any of of said IPs, I'd HAVE to at least give it a look and likely go all-in.

The Fly and Monster Squad are the big horror properties I still want. NECA style, of course. But as far as more strictly 1/12 goes, there's a bunch of Toony Terrors I'd love to see them try: Tremors, the Blob, the Thing, the Fly, on and on.

I loved the designs in that series. I still have Raziel and Kane tucked away in a bin. I can’t remember what company made them, but they each came with a base and in my memory they look fantastic.
