Mondo

Limited articulation with a bunch of swappable parts
Limited articulation is generous. The Adventure Time boys are basically statues with interchangeable parts.

Given the alternative, I'll take it, but I won't be happy. I think they're betting on the "given the alternative" audience.

Yeah, those are all part of their 'squads' line. It's a way for them to get fans a group of characters from a property all at once. Limited articulation with a bunch of swappable parts and IP specific accessories to change out the display.

I like that idea but dammit if only they were in a small scale so they wouldn't be so expensive. especially since a lot of these cartoon designs aren't exactly detailed enough to justify such large figures (in my opinion).

this better not turn into another Super7 situation

there are plenty of Cartoon Network shows that could tempt me but some might not 'work' in 3-D so well.
I have lots of love for those shows as well, and for the most part, I think they'd work pretty well. Just going off what Funko did with a lot of their Cartoon Network figures, they all translated pretty well- only ones that looked a little off to me were the Ed, Edd, n Eddy figures, but even those look pretty good. Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home, etc.- they all translated pretty darn well, and I think would look great, if not better, in Mondo's style too. Don't think Funko ever made anything for them, but I think Codename: Kids Next Door would make for some great Mondo figures too.

If Mondo ever decided to do Venture Bros. I'd be busting out Philip J. Fry memes like there's no tomorrow.

Do not be too hasty to enter that room! I had Taco Beeell for lunch!

You think you're hot shit in a champagne glass, but you're really just cold diarrhea in a Dixie cup!

Maybe? It's on my list to finally watch this October. I just would like my kids to give it a chance with me, but getting them to watch anything new can be a chore.

Yep. It's a fall vibes show. I watch the series every Halloween. It's a love letter to animation and a total delight. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Looks like the boys are $95 and then the boys + the dog are $135. I'm happy with just Wirt, Greg, Beatrice, and Dr. Cucumber. Glad to save the $40. Pre-order on Thursday.

I'm not a He-Man guy, but Mondo is making me wish I were. These look like decent action figures. Probably the first time I've said that about a Mondo piece.
