Didn't see a thread for this. Making it a general 1/8 scale discussion because scale is new to me from Mondo and I don't know what else they're doing with it.

The offering right now is Spike from Cowboy Bebop at 155 USD.

In typical fashion, there is an exclusive that gets you extras, heads, and the cutest Ein.

140 gets you the basic.

I went for it.

Mondo is the only brand willing to dive into Cowboy Bebop, Adventure Time, and Over the Garden Wall. It's maddening. I followed them down the other two rabbit holes, but I can't do it for 1/8 scale figures. Crazy choice.

It's an odd choice.

I have wanted anything to display for years, so I'll take it. What would vex me is if this was it; I'm here on Faith for Faye and Jet and Ed.

This was out of the blue for me, so if they announced plans last summer or so, I missed them. Are there plans?

Alt, I hope you don't mind that I dropped the "1/8" from the thread title. Seems like one spot to talk about Mondo is more than enough.

Mondo is hitting me right in the nostalgia. Actually, I came to Adventure Time and Over the Garden Wall as an adult, so it isn't quite nostalgia. They're targeting me, specifically, with these '90s and '00s cartoon figures. I have no choice but to pay an ungodly amount of money for these inadequate toys, at least under the Adventure Time and Over the Garden Wall banners.

The Nickelodeon stuff is tempting, too, but we have to be discerning these days.

The King of the Hill gang all come with parts of the fence.

Beavis and Butthead also come with a lot more than was in the case.

I would love those 2 sets, but it's going to be pricey.

Are the figures on the Beavis and Butthead shelf also part of the Squads line?

I don't fully understand any of Mondo's marketing lingo, but I kind of get Squads.

I’m excited for the Halrey and Ivy Squads, I love that show (well the first four seasons anyway) and love those versions of the characters. I know they don’t scale with anything I collection (they’re 10 inches, right?) but I’ll find a place for them!

Oof. Wish they were smaller. That being said, Harley Quinn is my favorite fictional character, so they will probably be mine

yeah King of the Hill is tempting....

I'm assuming the high prices are due to small production runs which is 'logical' but then I must question whether it is logical for me to spend hundreds of dollars on four or five figures.

Yeah, those are all part of their 'squads' line. It's a way for them to get fans a group of characters from a property all at once. Limited articulation with a bunch of swappable parts and IP specific accessories to change out the display.

I love Rocko's Modern Life so that's definitely on my radar. King of the Hill is also likely for me. I recall the Real Monsters squad set being not terrible as far as pricing goes (for Mondo) so I'm cautiously optimistic these won't be too bad. I love Beavis and Butt-Head as well, but I think they just look terrible in 3 dimensions. I've never liked any figures of them in the past and I'll probably pass on these as well. I'm a little interested in Ren and Stimpy, but if it enriches John K. at all then it will be an easy pass.
