Also, some 'influencers' will spend big bucks to get it early to do a review just for the engagement and ad rev. So, what incentivizes companies to send stuff out for free to make sure people get it early for reviews when they'll do that on their own? And I really doubt they were seeing much in the way of increased sales, either. Very few people are watching a ToyBro (fuckin' Super7 shill if ever there was one) review and buying something they were planning to skip.I don't think anything happened specific to him, they just seemed to stop sending samples period. It seems like a lot of companies stopped seeing a benefit to doing so, especially when many of these influencer types will just buy it on their own.
Most collectors are kinda in the wheelhouse they're gonna be in, at this point. Reviews don't move the needle a hell of a lot.
