MONDO Masters of the Universe 1/12 and 1/6

That's actually a pretty great offering. Instead of having to get three different figures you can get all three versions in one purchase. Plus a $20US flat shipping rate for international buyers (free for you Yanks)??

It seems Mondo is trying to get more people to buy, but I guess the price will be the final determination for many.

I pretty much booed out on the mondo stuff after the tariff fees and shipping got so ridiculous after raising prices like 30% right before.

I am not a 1/6 or a Mondo guy.... but goddamn I actually fucking love that figure. That would be such a beautiful capstone piece of the MOTU collection.

I just don't think I can reasonably come up with 300 USD (450-480-ish Canadian?) by ~checks watch~ tomorrow morning when this inevitably sells out in eight seconds.

Looks like a couple people on reddit at least have gotten the 1/12 He-Man already? But seemingly the non-exclusive version?

I saw a 1/12 He-Man review on youtube. I think he might be a good one. Maybe? Possibly? I say that after watching the guy fiddle around with the figure, trying to catch glimpses to see if the figure can move reasonably well and is more fun to play with compared to their 1/6 figures. I saw glimmers of hope. I hate pooping on someone's video because I do admire them for putting themselves out there, but he didn't quite show off what I wanted to see. It was the only review I could find. Anyways, I probably have a good wait since I ordered from BBTS.

The deluxes with the alternate looks are great, but y'know, I never placed the Thunder Punch or Battle Armor on a body. I even have an extra He-Man body Mondo sent as a replacement.

I REALLY would like to have that 1:6 figure. But only for the (basic) He-Man and Grayskull options, if I'm being honest. I'd gladly take a big price cut and give them back all the other shit that I'll never use (which is not a judgement on how cool it is or isn't - I just know I won't use it).

One thing I noted watching PD's video is that I'm not a huge fan of how floofy KG's fur is on his cape, and you can't take it off since it's all once piece. Not sure why they thought it was a great idea to give KG these huge horizontal shoulder pads AND a thick piece of fake fur when he also has all that hair. Like, they're bound to get in each other's way, right? And it's a totally unforced error of just 'we designed it bad.'

Not a fan of the "fuzzy" boots and loincloth either. Just reminds me of a blanket you'd get at Ross or TJ Maxx.

I'm willing to accept those as just the kind of thing you get at this scale for that type of thing. I don't -love- it, but I get what they're going for and it's not intrusive. But it seems like the fur up around the neck is actively a problem for ROM and I'd bet even joint stability since it seems like the heads pop off that TINY peg -very- easily.
