Oh, wow! I guess GameStop is charging more than everywhere else. It's listed there at $59.99.
 
I didn't think this set would sell out immediately, but I stopped what I was doing at 10 a.m. PT and placed my pre-order. I'm desperate to upgrade my Kitty figure.
 
I am a sucker for most things Colossus, though I doubt I'd buy the Proletariat or whatever his collective outfit was. Depowered is even fine too like Bobby Drake some have been after. The only Kitty I have is the 90s whiff-er with the flat hair, which could really use a proper update to look more like those Adam Kubert Wolverine issues she was in the the voluminous hair with both a masked and unmasked portrait, don't skimp on the hands either Hasbro.

I went with Amazon, as I had a couple gift cards, wasted $5 difference from Pulse, but free is free. Plus they had the twerpy SHIELD Agent guy in the blue suit for $10, so that'll be my Henry Gyrich 97 head's new host body for now.
 
I didn't realize that not only does Colossus not have a calf swivel, he's got no waist articulation either, everything is chest articulation like the Cardiac I was so underwhelmed by. One step forward, 2 steps back eh Hasbro?

Tempted to try out the ponytail Kitty head one one of my extra female blue and yellow training suit Psylockes, as I don't need multiple of her in that look. I don't know when if ever Kitty wore the blue and yellow bodysuit (I know she had that leather Excaliber collared jacket thing), plus she might be a big tall in that look, but worth trying. I like the more Jim Lee look of the face on that 3pk Psylocke but her skintone doesn't match any others, so I've been considering using it to make a plain clothes Betsy at some point. Maybe something with a brown leather jacket like she sometimes wore with her usual ninja outfit.

I put a ponytail Kitty head on the 275 Jubilee body, figuring that at the time of 275, Kitty was still on the younger side. It looks ok. A little big. I always loved that Kitty head, very pretty sculpt, but not really appropriate for that early '90s era of X-Men. I think it will look fine on the 275 Psylocke body too, probably more proportionate. I've also considered swapping a brown leather jacket onto the Psylocke body, but to make a Rogue in that uniform. I'd always been curious about her in that look, and a leather jacket would give it more of her signature.

I still order a lot from Pulse, so the membership has paid for itself in free shipping at least 2-3 times over. I also have been getting Pulse emails when new drops happen, but tend to look for them because I'm already aware, thanks to social media accounts like Preternia and ToyShiz, of the usual times (almost always 1pm Eastern) new POs drop. Honestly, I rarely rely on those emails, as I don't even check my email until after I've put the PO in. Then I see the Pulse email, usually right on the dot at 1pm announcing the new PO. It's following those social accounts that has helped me stay on top of POs and secure things before they sell out. Typing it all out like this reads a bit obsessive and like I spend way too much time online than working. I guess that's not untrue.

I got it for $49.99 on Pulse. I try to get all my Hasbro stuff on there since I'm a Pulse member. So, I was right there at 1:00 and was surprised they had that price.

I have also just been so excited about this set, I made sure I was on right at 1:00 EST. I love the X-Men stuff, and this 2 pack looks great.

It's definitely still on BBTS and EE if anyone missed it on Pulse.
