Missing Link

While based on the originals, they’re all new molds designed from scratch, with new articulation and some die cast parts.

Plus the Japanese price is the one that really matters, not whatever obscene mark-up Pulse or BBTS add on.

Some lucky sod already has Ultra Magnus, some pics are doing the rounds:

ML Prime can't really wear the armour as there is all new tooling in Magnus' cab feet and knees to allow for the new trailer leg articulation. You can put him in it but he's effectively the G1 brick all over again as the legs can't move forward or bend at the knee with Optimus in there.

Anyway, I skipped this in favour of the Delta Magnus version but he does look pretty sweet!

I can't wait to see how these upgrades function. UM was my favorite growing up.

A little quiet on this front, until the upcoming Ultra Magnus and Grimlock make it out. I’m always thinking about which other figures I’d want from this line. Naturally, I’d love the seekers, Soundwave, Hot Rod. But if they ever get around to Springer, I’d prefer them to scale him up so that his robot mode is closer to Optimus’ height. I always hated how small the toy Springer was compared to everyone else. I’d like his approach to be more “what if” like the Arcee release. Keep everything else the same, besides the upgrades to articulation. Just scale the sculpt up.
