Mini Comic Wave 2

Nah, the way I came up with the swivels would be totally plausible at 8 or 9". :)

But 11 or 12" would be super awesome, and not be impossible for most displays.

Not that Hasbro would ever see it, but I could whip up a diagram later.

Back to the wave for a minute. I don't know if it's been mentioned, but in the Fanstream this month where they showed Rachel off, all their promo pics had 3 sets of hands, but if you look at the actual packaged pic, she doesn't. Dwight says she gets "a c-grip and a fist". They don't say the promo images they are showing is wrong, which they def. should have done.

Here’s another potential issue with Armor. Her armor would have to be translucent, or semi-translucent, and plastic like that is more brittle. I think frosted plastic can be more durable than clear, but it could still limit durability. Which probably plays into swivel hips/shoulders instead of hinged.

The Classified Cobra SNAKE is about a foot tall. And can fit a figure scrunched up in the torso. But do you want Armor scrunched up? Shouldn’t she be standing? What is she was…and don’t kill me…a bendy figure inside the armor and not removable? They could then position her and cheat around joints maybe. And then maybe have a regular, articulated figure in the line either as a pack in with the armored version or sold separately. The articulated figure, if sold separately, could then come with some kind of snap on glove to showcase partial powers.

But bendy figs aren't traditionally actually very... bendy. I just bought a Bendy Catwoman and yikes do her legs not want to bend at all. I got her to bend at her elbows but they don't look right.

I honestly don't remember reading Armor but I read Astonishing - is she a Whedon creation?

I guess the big question is do people want her armor huge or more formfitting, taking her up to 8-9" on the shelf, or do they want a teeny pack-in inside a huge armor? Or both?
She is. She was the youth trope ala Kitty and Jubilee by the back half. Cool character.

You'd want an actual teen figure to go alongside the rest of the team. Honestly, I don't even care if you had her power effect. How many other characters have we gotten that have wrong, minimal, and even no power representation.

I'd accept the argument that technically she was a younger character so might not be as small as their past and present teen body. But that's also never stopped them before.

If they really have to, just make some sort of Phoenix style base so it looks like she's armoring up. But honestly, I'm tired of any excuses I hear about why they cannot make certain characters, because they sure as hell make others and put little to no effort in.

I don't personally plan to get Armor whether they make her or not, but looking at the Gamerverse Juggernaut, you could go a little bigger than him; most of her "youth" sized body could fit in the torso and under the head/dome. You might have less articulation in the legs/hips to fit her outstretched legs, but I think it's doable. That or just create crystallin-looking "limb armor" that goes around her, and then you clip on the torso/headdome pieces once you've posed her in the pose you want.

My female teenage apprentices for Wolverine stop at Jubilee, so saves me money, but I think she's workable as a figure.

The old Toy Biz Fitzroy had a Snap-On transparent blue green shell that looks just like the geometric force shield he had. There was the chassis that went over the torso and then he had some parts that slid onto the arms and legs. Even back then it looked cool.

Just do that.

Exactly - I don't get why this would be such a hard build. It might be intricate, but you'd think the team would be up for the challenge.

Sorry it sucks, I was gonna do it on my iPad, but was too tired to last night, and my arthritis makes pen & paper painful.

And yeah, it'd be brittle, but I can't see how to do transparent armor that isn't, articulated or not.

But that was my idea. Fully articulated, in scale Hisako. And the best way to get articulation on the armor with still allowing for her arms & legs to be inside them, otherwise it would have to be huge like TFitz wants, where she's only in the torso, so the limbs could at least be solid & translucent.

It would've looked a LOT better, more proportionate, and I woulda included the other arm/leg/front torso if I coulda done it digitally, lol, but thank you. ☺️

And the popping the limbs/head into the torso was just for BAF status.

They could make the legs permanently attached to the crotch (but still hip swivel - shit, build in a thigh swivel, too), and the waist/shoulders/neck wouldn't need to be forced into the torso, but the front piece can secure them in place when you clip it to the back piece. Eliminates the risk for potential breakage of those plug tabs.
