Mezco One:12

To top things off, I had a double trouble accessories set in my cart, thinking I would make the most of their shipping. Oh no, they wanted another $12 to ship that set separately. They wouldn’t combine them into one shipment. Bunch of crap.

Now that Mez is dabbling in vehicles, I wonder if an old style gangster car could be in the works? Between the rebooted Gangster Inc line and all the Dick Tracy figures, I would think there would be enough interest in that. Plus the classical Batman figures could work with something like that too. With only 2 other original Gangsters to cover from the original series, a new “Wheelman” figure would be a good place for them to start with new characters.

I love this idea but man is it dangerous. I don't want to want a vehicle from Me$$$$$co.

Man, I miss the old Mezco.

I get why they are on the road they're on with One:12. But oof, they were a company ahead of the curve for the longest time. They could do no wrong in my eyes.

Popeye, Reservoir Dogs, Hellboy (both movie and comic), Scary Tales, Cinema of Fear, Silent Screamers, Warriors, Scarface, The Goon, Family Guy....so much more.

There was a period of time there where I would check a property out just because Mezco picked the license up for it.

AND, best of all, it was all affordable.

Now...we are here, spending 130 after shipping on a single figure-- and I just don't ever see them going back to the way from before. They are primarily the One:12 company now until the day they no longer exist.

I have a few older Mezco figures, I loved all the Hellboy and 5-point Godzilla stuff, but I'm primarily a One:12 guy — and I miss the old Mezco.

And it's not $130 after shipping anymore. It's closer to $150, oh wait, I just tried to check out with Agent Gomez 76 (who's magically back in stock after selling out in a few hours on the first day) and it comes to $164.76 thanks in part to a $27 shipping charge.

I've cooled on One:12 in the past couple of years anyway, but it's gonna take something pretty special to ever get me to buy direct from them again.

You're right, sorry.

The Gangster Inc figure netted them a cool 144 bucks.

And the sad part is I'll definitely get Don Moncinni and Patrick O'Brian when/if they release them, for a grand total of almost 500 bucks for 3 figures.

I hate their processing time, lol. First Bartholomew Vex. Then my Turtles. Then Casey Jones. Now Art the Clown has been "processing" for two weeks with no movement.

Gimme my gawdam murder clown, you bastids!! 😅

It took them a MONTH to process a previous "in stock" figure I ordered, so I wholeheartedly agree.

That said, the SDCC Gomez from this year actually DID ship fast for a change.

I tried again with a different accessory set with the first one and they STILL want to ship them separately! Two, in stock things that are literally half the size of a standard figure and they think they can’t ship them together. Some really fishy manipulation going on there. What modern company doesn’t try to combine shipping on in stock items? Only ones profiting off those shipping prices. Really scummy!

I have been full-swing kicking myself for passing on The Carboune Brothers. When this came up I was for sure going to get it, then they tried pegging me with a $30 shipping charge. Nope!

Mezco's shipping is the WORST! Add in their issues with just canceling an order because THEY can't seem to process a credit card that I've put in MULTIPLE times and I'm just done with them. My whole debacle with the Solomon Kane figure was the final straw for me. I haven't ordered anything from them since, despite their being quite a few figures I would have plunked down $ for. I know they don't give even a slight shit, but it baffles me how they actively make it incredibly difficult to buy their product.

I think Mezco may be the only action figure producer that acts they're doing YOU a favor by selling you their goods

I may pick up a few figures here and there from BBTS or ebay, they make some great stuff - but I will never deal with them directly - I'm not sure that I've ever heard of anyone having a positive experience with that.

Got Sparky Foreman today.

Man, I love this figure so much. I loved the original Gangsters Inc. line. I'm going to love this one, too. And they do show both Patrick O'Brian and Don Moncinni artwork on the packaging, so no doubt those two at the very least are on the way.

But it's a less "caricature" version of the original figure, for sure, but still maintains the elements of the original to keep it recognizable to that character.

I remember getting that dark knight Batman, the very first one:12 I think I paid like $70 for it in 2016 and it was a hell of a deal at the time.

I think I got out of Mezco about 2018 because I just really got tired of their bull sh-t. Limited drops that would drop at inconvenient times. Their checkout experience was always garbage, and you’d get it in the cart and then not be able to check out.

I had a like a really long preorder on something I really wanted and was backordered and they just cancelled it one day, and that was the end for me. I was just like “you know what? This isn’t even fun to collect”
