This is an impressive showing, I ended up deciding to pass on the Turts themselves because I don’t need to be starting a $100+ Turtle line when NECA has more than met my needs… I don’t see myself passing on Slash though, he’s amazing (of course a $140 price tag scared me away from Mondo’s 200X Clawful so we’ll see how gungho I am about Slash when I see the final asking price)
It’s… interesting… Leatherhead is a cowboy, do they not know what wadders are and interpreted them as chaps? It’s a fun take though, pending final paint and cost I could see adding a Cowboy Alligator to my Asian Animal Warrior shelf (he’s the Owen Wilson to Master Weng’s Chong Wang! And Mety’s Pandarian is there too if I want a Heatvision and Jack reunion!)
Baxter is extra interesting to me, first, LOVE IT. But these are official licensed, someone at Viacom had to say “yeah, you can make Baxter a Brundlefly style abomination (with an oddly hunky face for some reason)”… so since NECA has teased a “movie style” Bebop and Rocksteady, imagine what they could do with the concept of “Brundlefly Baxter” either a “movie” or “Monsters” version! That’s pretty exciting to me!
The foot do nothing for me, I kinda like Shredder as just a guy and not the baddestass samurai to ever walk the earth (I know! I’m weird!) and the foot as just an army of trained street punks not an order of ancient highly skilled ninjas or high tech robots (again! Me problem!) so when present with figures of such I usually decide to pass (Thank god JoyToy made some Triceratrons to tie together the whole Turtles riding Cyberzoic Dinosaurs thing I’m going with because I passed on their Shredder and Foot too!)
B&R are kinda like the Turts, cool stuff, hope they do well for everyone who wants these, but not for me because I don’t need a $100+ B&R that aren’t bringing anything different to my collection.
