Couldn't find any thread for general, non-DC related McFarlane releases (sorry if I somehow missed it).

Posted because I found the entire wave of the new Avatar: Fire and Ash figures, minus Jake, at Target today- 1 Varang, 1 Neytiri, 2 Quaritch, and 1 red Platinum Quaritch. Was shocked; don't think I've ever found anything before even the pre-order date. Was expecting them to be register-locked, but checked out with no issue.

Took advantage of the sale and a couple promo gift cards and got Varang and red platinum Quaritch just because they looked the coolest, and something tells me the RP Quaritch will be harder to find than the regular Gold Label figure (even if I arguably like that look better). Wasn't crazy about the price- if the Way of Water figures had trouble selling at 20-ish, I don't necessarily see these moving at 35 or more, but at least he included some extra accessories; the swappable head really helps, and adds some much needed character; the bored, static faces from the earlier waves weren't all that exciting.

Hope he ends up making more characters, though something tells me this may be it. Seems to have abandoned the smaller World Of Pandora figures, unless he shows something off at NYCC this week.

This one's quite cool

I don't really collect Spawn or COD, but I'd pick that up just on coolness factor. If nothing else, the body could be worked into a pretty easy generic thug.

So one of the Ross's near me had the Neytiri for $12.99 and Jake's banshee for $20. Had to get them at that price. If Jake or Neytiri's banshee show up, I'll get them too, but she can ride his for now.

Her face sculpt is excellent, though she's looking up, but I hate the pins. The banshee is really cool and quite large. It's box was beat up, but everything was there and who cares for that price? Happy to add them to my collection.

I saw some folks were finding Avatar figs at Ross. Crazy that they're still showing up years later- some stores must've stumbled on an old unopened box or something. Not that I have Ross stores near me to fall victim to anyway, but I'd hesitate only because the Neytiri coming out for Fire and Ash looks really good, and finally has a more feral headsculpt. But I suppose it's inevitable that she'll probably hit clearance or Ross eventually too. Still, the Banshee for $20 is a great deal. I think that's what I paid for the Jake & Banshee combo set a couple years ago. Todd really did knock the Banshee and Skimwing out of the park.

Still debating offloading my old World of Pandora sets. Never had every set, but a decent amount of them. Since Todd doesn't seem to be continuing the line for F&A, I don't know if there's much point in keeping them; I did think they were kinda fun for what they were, but the missing characters will always bug me. On the flip side, it's nice to have rep for the characters Todd will never get to in the bigger figs like Mo'at, Tsu'tey, Eytukan, Norm, Grace. Don't know if there's really any demand for them anymore, though, so I may be stuck with them.

So after less than a week of the Banshee on the stand, the plastic plug in part is crumbling away. I noticed the metal piece leaning to the side. That stinks. I'll put apoxy around it to firm it up, but it seems like this should have been caught in safety/strength tests. This is a fair amount of weight plugged into such a thin layer of plastic.

Yeah, the base for my movie 1 Banshee suffered the same fate. Did fine for a while, which I think in retrospect was because I kinda had it leaning on something at first, but when I moved it, it couldn't really hold its weight. Still looks cool on the shelf, but takes up way less shelf space when it's elevated. Skimwing did just fine on its base, though. I'm tempted by Quaritch's Banshee just because of how cool it looks, but I don't wanna stress about stands all over again.

Has anyone actually managed to find the Fire and Ash Jake in store? He's the only one I haven't been able to find, and most places online are sold out of him now too. It's a shame, because he looks like the best Jake yet. The figures for this movie seem to actually be selling, unlike the last couple.

Avatar talk! Glad I got the old Jake and Neytiri. My daughters love them. I love the Amp suit and Crab mech. And the old Banshee mega figure. Fun playtime as well rewatched the first two films to prep for Avatar 3.

I saw Ash Quaritch and Varang at Target over and over before we saw the movie. I should have just gotten them. But I wanted to wait to see if I liked their looks on screen. Of course, I loved them in the movie but as soon as we saw the movie, the figures are gone. I put in a back order at Entertainment Earth for Varang and final battle Jake. Hope we can get them. BBTS still has Ash Quaritch, who I bought immediately.

But I did find Recon Quaritch and Omatikaya Neytiri at Target. Both are great. This is my favorite Neytiri so far. Love the expressive alternate heads that they both have.

I haven’t seen final battle Jake in person yet.

My only issue with the second two movies is that I loved the mech vs Navi combat in the first movie. I want more mech suits. But the Ash Navi were cool antagonists.

When I came out of the movie I was thinking I'd grab the baddie.

But then she doesn't have the fatale lip bite that she rocked 90% of her scenes. And it killed it for me.

In another devastating blow to America's enemies, Spawn, Canadian EB exclusive, is delayed from Jan to March, when he haunts the very aisles of your US toy stores this past week.
