McFarlane DC Multiverse

It's Todd, this is going to show up next weekend now at a GameStop in Des Moines.
LOL, I legitimately stopped at multiple Gamestops in Des Moines today and I can confirm no signs of this Jack Joker yet. :p

The newest thing I saw on my run today from Gamestop was Marvel Legends Abomination. They all had the Page Punchers Flash and Hal, but no Jessica sightings yet (or they already sold).

Oddly two different Ross stores that I stopped at in the area and had removed ALL action figures from the store since I was there last week when there were still a ton. That was both a new development and extremely disappointing. I thought it was odd at the first one, but didn't think too hard on it. When I saw the same thing at the second one it was obvious that something was going on. Both stores had dozens last weekend in the form of Star Wars Black Series, Retro Card Joe Classified, NECA stuff (ET, Alf, Kong, movie TMNT, etc), Loyal Subjects TMNT, AEW, Spin Masters DC stuff, DragonBall Z, anime statues, Funko POPs, Simpsons, some Super7 stuff, etc. ALL were gone today without a single trace remaining anywhere in the stores. As you might imagine, figures are the only reason I've ever gone there. I don't think that I've ever bought a single other thing from Ross. There were still some cheap kids toys, but nothing adult collector oriented anymore.

Bro Depot had a lot of McFarlane stuff up for preorder too, including the Elite Spartan. Site is so wonky at times, it’s tough to find it again..

Asked the Google AI when Todd’s presentation during Toy Fair would be. It didn’t know. Just said New York Toy fair was between 2/14/26 and 2/17/26. To be honest, I’m getting a little antsy for announcements. Been a while since we’ve seen anything new. At this point it’s probably just confirmation for the various rumors.

The lull in McFarlane action figures does seem strange. Maybe they are having a hard time getting products from where they are being produced. The lull in release has been nice right now, since where I live in it is cold and there is tons on snow everywhere.

They released the DC Multiverse figures, then the Collector Edition figures and recently the Page Punchers figures. Nothing else has been announced for pre order and there is nothing in the Drop Zone on Entertainment Earth. I'm still looking for some of the platinum figures, but I haven't seen anything new each week I go to check.

It already feels like the end. There are products showing on sale on the MTS website, like they are cleaning out the warehouse. I hope a ton of figures don't get dropped at the same time. There haven't even been showings of any new figures from the rumor lists.

I was thinking about the Joker figure from Batman 89. I hope this doesn't happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is a SDCC release like Beast Boy was last year.

The lull is frustrating, but it could be any number of things causing it. Not the least of which is the start of convention season. Next week is obviously Toy Fair. But Todd usually attends both MegaCon in Florida and WonderCon in California in the month of March. WonderCon seems to be a particular favorite of his, usually showing upwards of 20 7” scale figures. There could also be problems with factories, shipping, and any number of other things related to capitalism sorting itself out. Also Chinese New Year starts Feb 17th and lasts about two weeks.

I’m not overly worried about it yet. The volume of rumors is still pretty substantial. Hopefully Todd will continues to produce up through September and start the draw down in October for Q4. Finishing up before Mattel takes over in 2027.

I'm assuming that the lull that you guys are referring to is specifically regarding new reveals?

I think that I felt the lull most in Nov/Dec for McF DCM after getting all of the Batman Day and Batman Returns waves and more in October. I don't think that I bought any McF DCM at all in Nov/Dec, but that's fine because I spent hundreds on Marvel Legends and other lines during those months. (Actually I just remembered that I bought the animated Batcave in Dec if that counts).

In January alone I spent well over $700 on McFarlane DC Multiverse new releases: both regular and platinum variants of all of Blackhawk, Cosmic Boy, Elongated Man, Professor Pyg and Zatanna/Chimp. I also bought Hal & Flash PP, Static, Ice and 6 Rocket Red Brigade figures (2 platinum, 4 regular). The BvS/JL Batmobile with Batfleck and BatSignal also arrived in January. I'm still waiting on Jessica Cruz from Gamestop but they've taken payment so she should be on her way. Although not a new release, I also finally broke down and bought the Joker movie Murray Franklin set in December for $145. If that's a lull, then my wallet is in big trouble when there's a rush!

Yeah, I was referring to new reveals specifically. I’ve gotten 15 figures in the New Year, and still waiting on Jessica Cruz from ebay. Thing is, we know surprisingly little of what’s coming, despite the amount of rumors floating around. By my count, at least in terms of what I’m gonna buy, it looks like…

Jack Knight
Gangbuster
Black Condor
Black Canary
Captain Marvel Jr.
Vigilante
Spartan

At least in terms of what’s officially been announced/shown. Of course there’s the Nicholson light Joker too. Which I’ve no interest in, but can see the draw. Anyway, Toy Fair is less than a week away. McFarlane Toys TV show should have another episode afterwards. Should be fun.

Walked into the toy aisle today to see another person saying "Oh Flash!" and pulling Page Punchers Barry off the rack. And then proceeded to take it home.

Thirty seconds late to securing a figure I wanted. I haaaaaaattttteeeeee that feeling!

But I took that rage and realized I had enough time to go to a different Target before the Super Bowl party I was cohosting and ran over and thankfully found one. It's quite sad but missing out like that would have really darkened my day. And I made it back exactly on time!

Years ago (2009), I can upon an open box on the floor at Toys R Us when they were restocking. DCUC Chemo wave (9). Grabbed the set and headed to checkout while some other dude was checking the pegs. It felt glorious. Such a great wave.

That was the most difficult wave of figures I’ve ever hunted at retail. The TRU truck arrived a day earlier than I expected, and I only found the 2x packed figures remaining on the pegs. I actually met the collector that beat me to them a few months later, and we became friends, but man was I cursing fate and everything else in my path on the day it happened.

On a related note, I resorted to eVilBay after missing Jessica Cruz online at GameStop and physically at both Wal-Mart and Target. Fortunately, that doesn’t happen very often, but I only have so much time and patience to chase after these damn things.
