McFarlane DC Multiverse

Random question: which John Stewart figure is the best version of his modern comic costume? There's Rebirth and there's the Endless Winter BAF version, but both look so over-designed (per usual), and then I hate the texture on the Plastic Man BAF version.
Sounds like none of them are your cup of tea so you'll have to pass.

Really finding I like the end of this line figures more than I want to, y'know?
Oh, I know. I waited five long years for McFarlane to get the boot, and now that his run with the license is almost over, the number of DC Multiverse figures in my collection is multiplying like bunny rabbits.

While most of that is driven by character selection, there have also been some real gems when it comes to design and execution. I absolutely love Zatanna.

I’ve been tempted by the Authority Superman as well even though I had never even seem that version of Superman before the figure was released. It’s just a cool look that translates really well to figure form.

Honestly, ever get one of those figures you just don't want to put on a shelf cos he's fun to mess with? That's the Authority Superman. Sleeper hit for me. Pure impulse buy but if every McFarlane figure was this fun to pose my grumpiness over the years would've been a lot lower.

I only bought Authority Superman because you all made him sound cool. And then I saw him and he does look cool. His face, in particular, got a lot of attention.

My Best Buy Zatanna arrived and she looked great so I opened her - are these new legs? They have a seam down the side so they couldn't be reused for too much, but these would have been SO MUCH better for Cheetah even with the seam. They also pose pretty well.

I'm shocked at Detective Chimp's articulation - cut shoulders and a square peg under his head. A ball socket in all of these places would have done so much. I can't even explain this except for laziness?

I honestly was amazed we even got that much considering all his animal companion pack-ins have been statues. It's hard not to imagine what another company would've done with Detective Chimp. Hell, I'd commit a minor crime for Classified-level articulation on Krypto.

I received Zatanna and Wally Flash the other day from BBTS, happy with them both for the most part.

Wally Flash--No surprises expected, none received. Comes on a buck we've seen before and will again. But it's a decent enough buck and Wally has a pretty straight forward look. He doesn't have a goofy smirk which companies seem to like to give him. This is all I really required for a figure of my favorite Flash and (since the pricing at this point all seems arbitrary) getting him at the standard price was a bonus.

Zatanna---I like figure itself and the fact that the hat works whether it's on or off, those are two big factors. Could have done with more accessories. The hair coming off is a tell tale sign that she was planned to come with more heads but they cheaped out. Easy enough to glue on if it gets too annoying. As for the chimp, I could have taken him or left him

No amount of laziness shocks me with McFarlane or Hasbro anymore. I'm surprised he got the articulation he does have. You KNOW that left hand is sculpted to hold a magnifying glass too. How easy would it have been to give us that minuscule extra little bit. Not at $35, I guess.....

So I was watching Toy Shiz review of the latest Page Punchers wave and I thought I would try the head swap he did on GL. I love, love, love the SA Hal Jordan head on the PP modern suit and the modern head on the SA suit. It's a more accurate look to the Silver Age GL. I love watching head swap videos sometimes just because I have probably already been thinking about a swap but want to see someone else do it first for whatever reason. Maybe it's to see if it's an easy or hard swap before I try it. Either way it looks great I think.

Good morning gentlemen. I was just on the MTS site. He has a retro bundle on sale including both Wonder Twins. I’m sure they’ll sell out quickly. I suggest jumping on it if you want the twins at a somewhat reasonable price. 👍

Basically the same thing I did. Fortunately the white hands match well enough that they're all interchangeable. Just wish we got a version with the grey-haired temples on Hal. Silver Age head is by far the best we've gotten to date.

The GITD Parallax Hal is also a personal favorite of mine.
