McFarlane DC Multiverse

2025 McFarlane DCM personal analysis:

Bought 83 total figures. Most figures in one year in my life.

Breakdown:

22 JSA and adjacent. Very happy about this.

10 Titans and adjacent

24 Batman

13 Superman

4 Wonder Woman

5 Flash

5 Green Lantern

2 Milestone

3 New Gods

7 outliers (non heritage characters)

1 civilian (Jim Gordon)

3 Archers

Titano. Biggest figure I’ve got.

Had a lot of fun last year. Hope this year is great too.

All that analysis and I forgot to peel off a few favorites from 2025…

Wildcat. Tough to beat the DCUC Wildcat, but I think this one is just a touch better.

Orion. The brighter red really pops.

Power Girl. She comes off a little bit intimidating. As she should.

Kingdom Come Superman. Would’ve been perfect with a little gray around the temples.

SA Superman. My default/definitive Superman. Finally.

Cowardly Lot Batman. My default modern day Batman.

Batman One Million. Truthfully, I just like the idea that he got made.

Adam Strange. The definitive Adam Strange. IMHO.

Connor Hawke. Kinda perfect.

Jade. Better than I’d hoped for.

Cyborg Superman. Sculpt or the year.

GA Wonder Woman. Love her.

GA Sandman. Not exactly traditional, but still fantastic.

Mr. Bones. Just a fun figure.

Guardian. Proves a basic figure can still be awesome.

90’s Wally/Flash. I own a lot of Flash figures, but this one tops most of them.

Authority/Superman. Love the design and execution. Great looking figure all around.

Honorable mentions to…

Dark Flash
Damage
Starman
Steve Trevor
Connor Kent
Monarch
Deathstroke
Metron
Obsidian
Atom Smasher
Dark Archer
Batwing 2

Forgot Dr. Fate somehow. Best Fate ever.
See, that’s where I struggle. Part of me agrees with you, and part of me laments the absence of the quarter moons on his shoulders, the Blue Beetle double boot tops, and the soft goods cape (especially the fabric used - I often see a greenish undertone in mine), all issues that while outdated, the DCUC version doesn’t have.

Just to be clear, I don’t think you’re wrong. I think I’m too much of a perfectionist when it comes to minor costume details, especially on characters and looks that I know well.

I’ll admit all day long that my eye for detail is for shit. I’m more of an “ in the spirit of “ collector unless it’s something simply egregious. Like the ring on the wrong hand of Alan Scott. 🙄

I just remember all the previous Fates from the movie or from Injustice. I was doubtful the comic Fate was going to happen. So when he showed, I was pretty over the moon. Beyond that, this is likely my last Dr. Fate, so I’m digging it.

So basically almost all Todd had to offer last year. Which one did you skip?

Wildcat???? I'm a HUGE JSA fan but I could NOT pull the trigger on that figure. Wrong headsculpt and feet. Blue? Even at clearance price I passed. DCUC got him spot on.

Bizarrely, I think Wildcat is ALSO one of my favorite figures in the line. Wrong color and all. He might be the figure last year I could not stop posing at all. Some of Todd's figures are great ART, but Wildcat actually felt like an ACTION FIGURE more so than much of the line.

Yeah this is a case of where I am casual enough that I just need to be able to recognize the character. I don't care about a specific source, I'm just happy to have them.

That's pretty good if you want to spend all your toy money on jewelry that doesn't turn your skin green.
My best job perk was working at the Warner Brothers Studio Store in NYC back in college. I got to work on the gallery floor in the DC wing and chat comics all day. Once a year, we'd get 50% off everything in the store. Since WB was making the best DC merchandise back in those days, I spent way too much.
