McFarlane DC Multiverse

I’ve kept a running DCM rumor list on my phone for the last few years. Not all rumors, just the ones I was interested in. I was editing it at one point following the rumor list on Fwoosh. Wish I hadn’t done that so I could see it complete from the beginning. Anyway, the following is what I’ve heard that’s not on any recent leaked lists going back until at least 2022:

*Red X
*Earth 3 Johnny Quick
*Death Metal Harley Quinn and her giant hyena.
*Jason Todd as Batman. This surfaced at the time when guns were forbidden.
*Red Rain Elseworld Batman
*New 52 Kid Flash. There are actually two.
*Metal Superman/armored
*Metal Wonder Woman/armored
*New 52 Wonder Woman. It now appears that she will be a Platinum.
*Trigon BaF. We got Beast Boy instead.
*Despero BaF. We got Darkseid instead.
*Talia al Ghul. Straight from Jim Fletcher.
*FA Earth 2 adult Robin. Gray/yellow costume. Platinum for the original that never showed up.
*Rocket to go with Icon.
*Brainiac. Dunno which one.
*Star Field Donna Troy
*Mr. Twister. An obscure Teen Titans villain from the ’60’s.
*Cyborg/Darkseid 2-pack

There were also some group rumors including:

*Knight Terrors
*Live action Watchmen. Hoping for the comic versions.
*Animated Creature Commandos. Hoping for the comic versions.
*WildCATs. Getting Spartan at some point.
*Infinity Inc. Todd is apparently nostalgic.
 
I'd buy so many of those! Red X, Rocket and Mr. Twister would be at the top of my list, but I'd buy a bunch of these. Red Rain Batman is another one that I've wanted for a long time. Weasel from Creature Commando is a big want for me also.

I think that the Cyborg/Darkseid 2-pack was erroneously reported and the real leak was for the Mad Mods of those characters that were recently announced.

I thought that too. But I’d seen it several times in different places. It’s also the perfect opportunity for Todd to give us a more classic Darkseid minus the frickin’ cape.
 
I ordered some stuff from MTS and when it arrived they added a Strangers Things Page Punchers of Will & a Demogorgon. Normally they add a note but this time they printed it on a label and attached it to the package. It might be to prevent from reselling it, but it's ruined if it was to be displayed without opening it. I haven't watched the show nor do I collect the merchandise, so it's not something I really want. I also got a loose Flashpoint comic book that probably went with some 3" Page Punchers.
 
Low hanging fruit for me is always gonna be the JSA and the Kirby stuff. Not much of that here this cycle, but I’m liking much of the comic based stuff I’m seeing on the speculation list. I think the Batman stuff is a slam dunk. New Teen Titans could be spectacular. 80’s Wonder Woman, Barda, Hawk and Dove, Black Hand and Star Sapphire fill in some big gaps. And I’m always down for a good Green Arrow and Black Canary.
 
Apparently I'm gonna be buying a lot of Alfreds this next year. Happy that Wonder Woman and Ivy and Harley are getting some more exposure. I was a bit excited and thought he said "Black Mask" rather than Black Hand, but I was happy to see we'll at least get a comic Mad Hatter, though Hugo Strange seems like the obvious reissue in a suit/lab coat rather than his Batman underoos.

That's awesome! Congrats. I've heard lots of people say they received free stuff in the box, but I never have. I'm starting to think they don't like me over there lol
 
Has anyone else received an email about McFarlane & DripShop? I read the email & checked out the website and all of the information is as clear as mud. I think you purchase a chance to open a mystery pack that can be a collectors edition, platinum or prototype. I can't tell if you have to accept it or if you can refuse with the buy back option. It seems interesting enough to try and get something that might be hard to get, but I don't care for the mystery aspect. Also, I can't tell if this is from DripShop or from some third party sellers. Kind of like if you buy something from amazon or a third party seller on amazon.
 
Hope the rumors of a movie Commissioner Gordon are true. Been wanting one since '89, and he'll go great on my Burton shelf. I still haven't bought Todd's Gough Alfred, as I couldn't bring myself to purchase a green Forever Batmobile, so a single card of him is great news, too. Wish they could get around to Vicki or Knox before the license expires.

Comic Mad Hatter is great, as the only one we have is from Dark Victory. There's often an issue with his name on the package, though. Disney seems to frown on others using "Mad Hatter."

I saw that email also, but I'm pretty tired of Todd's gimmicks and don't feel the need to gamble on this. This is right up Todd's alley with opening a blind pack like sports cards. Pass.
