McFarlane DC Multiverse

Year One Gordon and Batman were available for same-day delivery on Walmart, so I took the gamble. Wonder if I will actually get them, if they will be canceled, or if they will make one of those spontaneous “substitutions”.

I hate this game.

I saw them at my local Walmart this morning, so hopefully your order will go through.
 
HAHAHAHA they delivered Gordon and one Batman (I ordered 2 Batsys lest I get the Platinum) and they are BOTH the Platinums.
Like, cool? But damn, man. I wanted the color versions way more. Although Batman looks more really pale than b&w, and the lighter gray actually looks more like the art in the book, so 🤷‍♂️
 
I would mix and match the platinum and the regular year one. Kind of hope I get the platinum.

Man, I'm loving this 1 million Batman. I just wish he had more hands.

Yeah, that’s been my plan. And in hand I am really liking the grey of the bodysuit on the platinum. I do think it’s closer to the inks in the book than the very dark grey of the regular. I do wish he didn’t have the Rebirth arms with new glove overlays, but it’s a fairly minor nitpick all around. Also wish as always that every Batman came with two fists.

Oh and Gordon’s comically giant revolver immediately went to the Joker. Looks great with him.
 
Jade arrived this afternoon and she’s beautiful. Possibly the best female head sculpt in the entire line so far. Can’t wait for more JSA/Infinity Inc.
 
I stopped at Target today to check out the action figure aisle. The had Green Arrow figures on the pegs. I went to the collector's section and nothing new. I decided to go back to the action figure aisle and I'm glad I did. They had the Page Punchers on a bottom shelf. I usually scan around but I didn't notice them the first time, but when I went back I noticed Kingdom Come Superman. Damage, Starman & Supergirl were behind him.

I was going to enter the EQL for Starman & Damage but I figured they would cost between $70 - $80 if I won them. It only cost $50 since they were $25 each.
 
My Walmart had the Year 1 Batman, Adam Strange and Deadshot for the first time this week, but nothing else. Target still had Batman 1000000, Connor Hawke and Hourman that they got in last week. They had already sold out of their PP KC Superman and WoT Supergirl case. Otherwise they only had the more recent Doomsday megafigure and finally put the Ghost of Krypton Page Puncher wave on clearance for 25% off (which isn't enough). Gamestop had nothing new. I looked all over multiple stores for and hoping to get lucky enough to find Bizarro, Jade, Jim Gordon, Cyborg Supes, Eradicator, Armored Green Lantern and Cowboy Batman but found no traces of any of them.
 
I've seen Cowboy Batman at Gamestop. It might have just come out because I also saw Tobey Maguire Black Suit Spider-man and they told me they had just put them out today.

I have also recently seen the Purple Batman at Target.

I went to two Targets early yesterday morning. I was looking for the digital wave with Superman. That was a bust but I did come across some restock which is as rare as Saturday morning free time. One had Page Punchers Supergirl, Damage, and Starman, one had Supergirl, Damage and KC Superman. One had a ton of Hourmans, one had a ton of Connor Hawk. One had a lone Cowardly Lot Batman.
 
Either I missed the shipping notice (which is possible because I’ve been in a trauma/stress loop for over two weeks now) or they didn’t send one, but McF store box with Gordon and Y1 Batman was waiting for me on my doorstep when I got home from Thunderbolts last night.

I'm pretty sure she's mostly one of the Catwoman sculpts. The breaks at the bicep and boots look like Balent Selina.
 
Got a few recent releases, and they’re both some of the best work Todd has done but so anemic on accessories. Doctor Fate is perfect. Sincerely. Except he’s got one fist and one gun hand. No spellcasting hand, no left fist. Just the NFT thing.

Two-Face might be one of the line’s best head sculpts! But no gun, no alternate hands, and tiny baby feet. I do like the figure overall through and I stashed one of Todd’s gun accessory packs in my studio somewhere…

On a whim I got the classic comic Riddler. Just a solid figure. Makes me curious about the Arkham one though. I’m actually enjoying getting most of the classic comic rogues gallery lately.

I’ve been buying a lot of McFarlane DC Multiverse figures this year. I have to be careful, because that usually ends with me making purchases I regret, but so far, so good with:

Wildcat, Orion, Rebirth Batman (digital), Power Girl (reg and plat), Guy Gardner (reg), Captain Cold (reg), Adam Strange (reg), Silver Age Superman, Silver Age Dr. Fate (reg), Silver Age Two-Face (plat), Supergirl WoT,, Nightmaster, Hourman, Connor Hawke, and Jade. I also picked up Jonah Hex (reg sans the General) from eBay.

The only one I was regretting was Hourman. Love the character, hated the figure from the neck up. However, I’m quite happy with him now after modding the front of the hood.

Some are great the way they are, most could be better, but all of them are pretty good.
 
I'm sure if you wanted him, you've got him already, but if anyone was on the fence - here's my review of the Cowardly Lot Batman. He's a pleasant surprise, especially considering he's just the Hush body again:
