McFarlane DC Multiverse

Got Extant from Walmart, no issue (this time). Cheetah was actually up early (typical Walmart), but I wasn't after her anyway. And my Duck just shipped too.

Any thoughts on the most recent Scarecrow? I kinda still want Guardian but I absolutely do not want to pay shipping for him, trying to figure out a second figure to pick up alongside him.

Got the phygital Red Tornado from Wal -Mart this afternoon. The only real criticism I have is that the blue fabric at the top of the back of the collar wasn’t cut very straight. I’ll have to clean up the edge with a sharp pair of scissors when I’m in the mood. Only the red edges of the collar are wired. The rest of the cape is not. That’s really not a negative for me, but YMMV. Boot cuts would have been nice, but that’s not a deal breaker either.

Minor nitpicks aside, it’s one of the best McFarlane DC figures I’ve seen in awhile in terms of being true to the source material. This is definitely a checkmark on the “I’m glad we have another 14 months of McFarlane” side of the ledger.

I really thought I was going to order Cheetah and Extant.... but, those boot cuff lines on the legs on Cheetah are such a turnoff I couldn't pull the trigger. And Extant using that damned textured body for the costume was an instant 'nope'. If the suit had been smooth I would have grabbed him. I hate that textured suit so very much.

That's horseshite. It's on them for putting it on the shelf. Did they at least offer to hold it for you to pick up next week?

Have you guys run into this? My Gamestop told me a couple of weeks ago that they no longer accept returns of any action figures or collectibles, no matter the timeframe or whether they've been opened. I had never run into that before. I was trying to return a DC Multiverse Batwing 2.0 figure that I'd bought 7 days prior, did not open and there was no damage to the box and had receipt in hand from that same store. I was quite surprised by that "policy." I rarely return anything and hadn't had this happen before.
TRU Canada put that policy into effect. That and the price hike they had the exclusive on ensured I just never really bought anything.

Even before that, they took figure swaps super seriously. I get it, and yet.

These guys are obviously limited in articulation, but having a small group of 6 will be great when I get Penguin (who apparently just arrived at BBTS, but no Catwoman yet).

I got 9 of em. And my normal Penguin along with the duck and longjohn's Penguin are on the way. I think these will likely come back a few times through McFarlane so folks can get more after a couple months. If not, I'm happy with 9.

The Gamestop I went to today also had the Godzilla and Wonder Woman 2 pack. I liked Wonder Woman bit not for $80 and a Godzilla I don't want.

I had some stuff begin processing to ship today. From Game Stop, my Scarecrow figure is getting ready. Then, from BBTS, Riddler, Batman Incorporated, and Classic Batgirl are all shipping.

I held off on Earth 2 Society Batman and Black Mask Batman for now. I may get them, but I just didn't feel I had to have them.

I wish i could find the Wal-Mart exclusive GitD Bane or Purple Batgirl. Has anyone actually found those in store yet?

Eh, dragged my feet trying to figure out who to get with Guardian and he sold out, at least online at Gamestop. I swear McFarlane saves me more money than it costs my by having figures just impossible to get. I went from debating about picking up three figures to emptying my cart so fast.
