This was in reference to my avoidance of soft goods.Can you elaborate on #3?
Unless you've got them in an enclosed display I've found that they can tend to have a pretty short shelf life before they have to be disposed of altogether. That can vary greatly though based upon quality, of course --- but dust, humidity/moisture, direct sunlight/heat and even bugs/insects can all have bigger impacts to soft goods than most plastics. I live in Iowa where I like to keep my windows open several months of the year rather than running AC/heat, so all of these things can impact my displays -- but I've got really nice built-in 7-foot-high bookshelves so I'm not going to replace those with enclosed glass cases.
I don't like to buy figures to have to replace them in 2-3 years.
