Also, as a Batman fan who loves to collect toys of Batman, the 18th is going to be so inanely expensive that I am beyond pissed and may just walk directly into the ocean.

That reminds me, I asked about that when they went in to cover my bases, and they said that makes no sense. The printout comes from the online system, so anything on the counter is already in the computer.
 
I was very excited to see this, then about 5 minutes in someone online lets the air out of my balloon: Look at that left hand!!! FIVE FINGERS?

But then the right one looks like it MIGHT be a flipper? So what's going on? Guess I have to wait and see the full reveal.

Gonna be an expensive week for you Bay guys. While I’m not buying the movie stuff, gotta say Batman and Catwoman are both pretty magnificent.

What I will be buying is:

Dr. Mid-Nite. Must have, non-negotiable. If the Platinum is what I suspect/hope, that’s also a must have.

Black Mask and Failsafe are world builders.

Classic Scarecrow replaces the Tynion Scarecrow.

Hush Riddler because I like him.

Lots of preorders going up and the Canadian information from last night lead me to believe that there are several reveals to be made Thursday afternoon as well as some big announcements coming at Todd’s NYCC panel on 10/10/25.
 
Batman and Penguin look pretty good. Definitely excited to see how Catwoman and Shreck have fared since their renders. I do really hope that fingered hand on the Penguin was just a mistake. Like... that's his whole thing. And it's not like Todd hasn't spend money on new molds for hands that can only be used once. Maybe they just didn't have the right hands ready in time for the shoot? Or it just got misplaced? Far as I'm concerned, this Penguin doesn't need a "C" grip hand anyway. I know he held stuff in the movie, but as long as one hand is closed enough to hold the umbrella, I'm good with open flippers.
 
Sigh. Schreck is a red platinum. GameStop exclusive on the 19th, Target and Walmart "at some point" in October. I was afraid Todd was going to play games with this guy specifically. At least it looks like we'll get a chance at 3 different retailers, I was just hoping to go to BBTS and get all 4 in one shot.
 
Yeah, hearing Shreck is a Red Platinum is a bummer. Sure, he's not one of the big 3 of the movie, but he's still a huge part, and I mean, it's Christopher Walken- why wouldn't you want a figure? I think there was a rumor that his deep-fried look would be the chase/platinum, but I wonder if this just negates that? Hopefully it won't be too difficult a preorder. If anything, I'd probably have preferred the Penguin Commandos to be the store exclusive, but I guess since folks will be wanting to army build them, that's probably not wise either. Todd gonna Todd.
 
Schreck being a platinum sucks. He and the penguin commandos are all that I want from that movie wave, although I'll probably try to get the Duck-mobile also.
 
Giving Penguin a normal hand is definitely a choice. Not a good one but a choice. Let's hope that he'll come with an extra left flipper. Other than that he's quite nice, the coat looks good.

Batman is nice too, like how they ended up giving him the thick neck and articulated it at the base.
 
I think the figures themselves all look pretty good and I'm excited for them in that regard. It's just the fact that we have to deal with Todd's SOP that makes me apprehensive. The availability, the haphardness (why one human hand on Penguin?), and the fact that these are $35 a pop (if I order just Schreck from Gamestop, that will be a couple bucks shy of $50 after shopping and tax ). I really want these, but maybe I need to hang it up for the year after this.
