McFarlane DC Multiverse

I have 3 separate shipments en route from figurineforall and one from toysnowman to Iowa. I'm nervous as I'm expecting additional charges to now be tacked on that wouldn't have been just a few weeks ago. I saw that my credit union added additional international service fees for doing business with these Canadian etailers now that they have never charged in the past. They're small, but they're definitely new.

I thought that Canadian Postal service strike was annoying, but this could end up being the end of me buying from Canadian sites. I feel like I only have to do it because of Todd's stupid human tricks with chase platinum figures. I don't ever buy anything else from these sites. It's just McFarlane.
 
Haven’t been hit yet. And the only reason I do it is for the Gold and Platinum Label as well. And it’s cheaper than ebay.

They created a mailing label yesterday, and today it’s in US customs. That’s actually pretty amazing.
 
I am consistently amazed at how readily available product is for us, meanwhile, I hear about you guys fighting in the streets over certain releases.

On the other hand, it sounds like there's a wealth of platinum NML for you, but I haven't seen any even on the Facebook market.

I did see Metron and Mirror Master, but they're not for me.
 
Well for whatever reason, the big retail chains in Canada don’t seem to care about playing the game where the exclusives are concerned. Not sure why that is. Because there are the same big retailers in both countries. Population density may also affect it. 41 million people spread out across a larger land mass isn’t going to drive the needed foot traffic like it does here with 340 million people.
 
I got Merlin and Darkstar direct from MTS today. It is kinda killing me that the line took such a pleasant leap forward this late in the game. If the'd released a Green Arrow/Dark Archer two pack two years ago I would have been swinging from the rafters.
 
I was about to get the Red Platinum Cowardly Lot Batman figure from GameStop.com. But I went and looked on Ebay and I was able to get one cheaper there. Well, I actually got it free because I had a gift card, so you really can't beat that. But on GameStop after tax and shipping it was going to be like $36.45

But on Ebay after tax and shipping it was like $34.

But if anyone needs this figure still it is on GameStop and it is on Ebay for either the same or a bit less than GameStop
 
I've had Year One Batman for a little bit. Both he and Gordon are figures that I wasn't actively hunting down but miraculously stumbled across at my local less-than-stellar Walmart, I thought I shouldn't pass on either. Anyway, I was playing around with YO Batman yesterday for the first time and dang it, this one might finally be it. This might be the Batman in my McFarlane collection. It's based on the Mazzucchelli art but his art lends itself to a very general-looking Batman action figure (if that makes sense?) it makes for a good figure. The colors and sculpting are all on-point. Gripes include a lack of extra hands and only one "meh" batarang, he's a bit shorter than my WW and Superman, but I think scale might be something I just give up on with this line. I think compared to the other Bat-villians in my collection, he fits in really well with what I'm trying to do. I think I found the one!

I really like this one. I think I will use this one and the blue-and-grey NML version.
 
Year One Batman just doesn't look like the source material for me. But yeah, he's a good standard Batman. I passed on both him and Gordon when I found them a few months ago, as I really want something distinctly Mazzucchelli from that series. I think the Mezco might be the representation of Year One I go for.
 
Rebirth Batmobile goes up for preorder 8/27/25. MTS Gold Label exclusive. No mention (yet) of the Rebirth Batman with fabric cape.
