McFarlane DC Multiverse

When I think “comic accurate” I mostly mean “iconic/classic looks”.
If I’m only getting one Zatanna, it MUST be the stage-magician top hat/tails/fishnets version.
If I’m only getting one Black Canary, it MUST be the Silver/Bronze Age jacket/leotard/fishnets version.
If I’m only getting one Harley, it MUST be the 90s B:TAS design translated to “comic realism” version.
If I’m only getting one Poison Ivy, it MUST be the iconic leaf-leotard/tights/HUMAN-COLORED SKIN version.

“That one costume they wore that one time in that one reboot” is fine, but not if there’s only gonna be one.

I'm still holding out hope for another Uma Ivy outfit in a two-pack with movie Bane.

Flash/Titano is on sale at Amazon at the moment - got it for the Flash headsculpt and non-transparent legs. Also comes with a big monkey? ;)

Admittedly, I've always loved the look of the ice suits from the end of Batman and Robin, so I'd gladly take figures of those, but not in place of something else. Before the line ends, I'm still holding out hope for B&R Bane, Begins Ra's, Caine Alfred and Oldman Gordon at the least. Talia and Blake would be bonuses, but not entirely needed. I'd even happily take a Leto Joker; no real preference on which version, though knowing Todd, it would probably be the ZSJL epilogue version, which I suppose is fine.

Finally seeing Superman tonight. Quite excited, from all the buzz I've heard! Not looking forward to inevitably wanting all the figures and having to track them down, though. 😅

Some of the McFarlane figures I still want the most are Black Canary and Poison Ivy (comic version).

I could actually live without Harley because I have the DC Essentials and that figure works really well with McFarlane’s stuff.

She looks great, poses great, and scales very well with other McFarlane DC figures, like The Joker.

Bu if McFarlane still does her in her classic look I would probably still pick her up. But if he never does, this figure will do me just fine.

Was the recent Cyborg Superman that released exclusive to somewhere? The Revenge of the Green Lanterns Cyborg Superman is the one I'm talking about.

Y'know... for some reason I never, ever thought to put Essentials Harley side by side with McFarlane figures to see how they scale. I actually like the Balent Catwoman from Essentials better than McFarlane's hte whole figure is just more streamlined and better proportioned. I really liked that line.

I got mine at GameStop, but I heard Target for the Americans.

The red one, yeah?
Thank you. I just never saw it anywhere myself. I think the red and black version is the gold label. I actually just want the blue version with red and yellow that isn't gold label.

I didn't think it was exclusive. On McFarlane's site though the only link it has is to Game Stop.

I might just have to Ebay this one.

Yeah I thought the regular blue one was just a wide release. But on the other hand my store only ever got two in stock and they had 10 pre-orders so who can tell with Todd.

Blue was not exclusive, but under produced.
So, it was another "Let's piss on the fans" exclusive. There has been a fair amount of those in this line. I really feel like that should have its own sticker like the Platinum label. Same McFarlane label, but it's piss green, and there is a little Calvin off to the side peeing on it.

Yeah, Essentials is also 7-inch scale. I used to use several of them with McFarlane until the line expanded. I used the Balent Catwoman, Harley, The Joker, Black Manta, Green Lantern, and Sinestro. To name a few. What's funny is that in most cases the Essentials female characters actually scale better with McFarlane than the McFarlane figures do.

As I kind of said a couple pages back, I kind quit collecting for a bit when it was said McFarlane would be losing the DC license. I recently got Deadshot and Two Face because I have most everything Batman related from the line, and I just felt weird having holes in the collection.

Today though, I bought a non-Bat related figure. I have all the Green Lanterns, and I really felt bad the one I never got was Guy Gardner. But I went in a Game Stop today and they had him. So, I picked him up. Happy to have him and have all the Green Lanterns.

But I'm going to try and get whatever Batman stuff Todd let's out as he wraps the line up, and I will really cherry pick the rest of the DC Universe. I know I'll get some characters that aren't Bat related though, like Mirror Master. Or is Mirror Master some kind of Exclusive or Platinum?
