McFarlane DC Multiverse

The battle damaged Catwoman, TDK Gordon, Nightwing and the 2 Dick Grayson Robins are definite purchases.

The Batman theatrical edition and the Justice League Batman are maybes depending on what they come with and if the Affleck likeness is better but seeing as the releases the Affleck Batman 3 times from The Flash and didn't/weren't able to improve his likeness there I'm skeptical.

The B&R Ivy and Freeze aren't anything new so money saved there.

I'm in for BR Catwoman 2 and Hush Catwoman and cinematic Gordon
Also likely DOS Doomsday. Not to much else stood out to me. Possibly that Harley also.
 
I went TO THE STORE to preorder Billy Dee Two Face (because I was under the impression that's what I was supposed to do), no word on him yet one way or another. I see he's online right now for purchase. Do I get that one and pay $38 or do I trust my in-store order works out? I just don't want to miss this one.
 
Busy yesterday. Here are a few of my observations from the McFarlane panel:

•27 new figures starting with Wednesday.

•Six movie figures.

•Six Green Lantern related.

•Nine Bat related comic figures.

•One Superman.

•Five miscellaneous.

•One major character never done before by McFarlane and only done once before by DCD back in the day…Mera. And some Red Lantern I can’t identify. Maybe with a swappable head.

•One pack-in…Dextar.

To be truthful, I was hoping for Todd to go out swinging. This is all very tame, safe, pedestrian…boring in other words.

To me it’s like the last episode of Game of Thrones. I imagined Cersei in one of the parapets of the Red Keep screaming and raging at Dani and her Dragon as they burned Kings Landing. In reality, she went out sniveling. I was disappointed. Not that Cersei got what she deserved, but how she met the end.

Kinda how I’m looking at Todd right now.

I can’t believe that we still don’t have a good Aqualad. Tempest has been done a few times. Very early on DCD did a very tiny and even more bland looking one in a 2 pack. We are long overdue.
 
The least they could have done with B&R Poison Ivy is recolor her hair to the proper red, not orange color. THE LEAST. Now I still have to customize that fix.

Harley is a GameStop exclusive? Harley f'ing Quinn?! Someone at SDCC should ask Todd why he hates this character, it's insane.

In for the women! Donna, Raven, Mera - though that design doesn't do much for me. Hush Catwoman at least is real, and Pfeiffer Catwoman looks good.

That Affleck head looks good. I customized a Silver Age Robin via the Carrie Kelly body and one of the Robin heads and never need another. :)

Ah, and so Absolute figures are coming via Elite - hence the new sculpts. Well, I wanted Superman very badly... but not that bad.
 
Bit bummed (but also relieved) that the Ivy and Freeze are just re-releases. But of course he throws in some vines with Ivy, which is exactly what I'm trying to track down for my figure now. He obviously heard my pleas. But I ain't buying a whole new figure just for those.

Gordon is a definite for me, as is Returns Catwoman. I'll probably upgrade my Battinson too, since I still have that first release with the side eyes. The new one looks good- don't know how much, if any, is new, but he definitely looks bulkier in that render. Still no thigh holster, though, which is a bummer.

Hush Catwoman and Harley I'll definitely try to track down- try is the operative word on the latter. You never quite know with GameStop exclusives. But speaking of, my pre-ordered Black Mask shipped. Of course I'm out of town for the next week, but it'll be a lovely treat to come home to.
 
Harley Quinn being a new-head rerelease of a wave one figure and also exclusive to GameStop is absolutely the most on-brand way for Todd to go out. Flawless up-his-own-ass hubris. Kick rocks, Todd.
 
Had a box delivered a couple days ago while I was away for work. Wasn't really expecting anything imminent-- so I thought, maybe it was the first Super Powers wave from my Canadian e-tailer? Hadn't heard word about anyone else getting theirs, but McF ships funny.

Opened it just now, and nope! It was Level 4 Drawing Board Harley. I had COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN that I had ordered one in the waning hours of the campaign. In fact, when peeps here started receiving them a couple weeks back, I had assumed I'd talked myself out of it at the time, and was proud of myself for resisting something, which is uncommon. Apparently not. I am now un-proud of my last-minute FOMO. 😅
