McFarlane DC Multiverse

I live in Western PA and went out today to see if I could find any of the Wonder Woman, Poison Ivy or Hawkgirl figures. I checked a certain Walmart & Target in my area, since they usually get the figures before other stores in the area, but no luck. I would have kept checking some other stores but everyone is off and the stores are packed. Besides, it's too hot to be out.

I'll probably try to get the more human looking Ivy as that face to me is horrible in green and only slightly less horrible in human flesh tone. I did get the Hellboy figure finally and it's a lot of fun. The wash rubs off really easy which is both good and bad as it's often pooled and smudged in places, so it comes off rather easily just rubbing the excess off. The tail, as stated by others, has no wash and looks neglected.

I definitely want both Hawkgirls. I want at least one of the Ivys and maybe both. Probably only the classic Wonder Woman, but the New 52 version looks good also.

No need for New 52 Kendra as the JSA didn’t exist. In for the GA version. New 52 Wonder Woman is my favorite WW comic run of all time. Problematic as it is in its places. It tells the story of what the old gods are up to in the modern world. It would be my pitch if I was angling to write Wonder Woman or Thor. I like both Ivys but ultimately may wait for the Hush version.

This is how McFarlane is going to get that glut of product out to market before the deadline.

Have the last preorders be on the 31st from the website but the brick and mortar will have had them for weeks ahead so it not new product.

I heard through a source I can't vouch for but also hasn't let me down that McF is just burning through anything they prototyped/mocked up while they can.

It would make sense. Todd has been pretty successful over the last 30 + years as a toy company. Many small and medium sized operations have come and gone in that same 30 years. Even bigger companies like Playmates have fallen on tough times.

But I’m not sure he’s ever been this flush with cash as he has been with DC. He finally leveled up with one of the bigger licenses. Now it’s over and he’s wringing every nickel he can from the property until the last minute.
