Yeah. I remember thinking last year that if Mattel went with a Masterverse scale for DC then the figures would fit together well enough and could be switched out if Mattel's version was better later on. Now it looks like it will be Chronicles style and scale, which sadly means characters Mattel don't remake (like Krem and maybe Ultraman) won't fit with the new line. But I also absolutely love Chronicles so far so I'm not really going to complain that much either.

Luckily Man of Tomorrow will give us most of the characters again so Mattel can give us them there even if they don't want to go back to cover previous DCU projects right away.

I think the only ones not covered by MoT would be Metamorpho, Ultraman, Peacemaker, Lobo (who feels undersized and may scale tbh), Krem, and the rumoured Vigilante.

Thanks for the heads-up! Was able to grab OMAC for $13, Starman for $14 and Deluxe Millie for $22. She wouldn't go in the cart from her product page but would from the main "DC Multiverse" search page.

Not sure what it is about OMAC that I like so much - I know nothing of the character, or even who he fights in the DC Universe, but he's very toyetic that I wanted two of him to flank heroes. Now I can, for almost the price of one! :)

He's also half repaint. Haven't seen many mention that he's the entire lower half of the Darkstars figure - or maybe I just missed that convo.

7/3/26 is the federal holiday. I don’t expect any news or announcements over the holiday weekend.

7/6/26 Back to work and we’re approximately two and a half weeks out from SDCC 2026.

Still no official announcements or preorder dates set for the upcoming DCM collector wave.

Is Todd really gonna sit on this info for another three weeks?

Yes, they are. It really stood out to me on the red carpet.

There was a moment even my hypercritical friend stopped and told me she thinks that the toy actually nailed it.

Now that said, having seen the movie and also just owned these figures for a month, for me the way to correct it to accuracy is just remove the wrist joints and find a way to peg the hands directly into the sleeve. Because in the movie the little flap at the end of the sleeve does go over the top of her hand.

And I think that is the little difference that pushes it between accuracy and orangutan.
 
Yeah, I saw in someone's video review yesterday that it's because she re-uses someone else's wrist pegs, which are longer. That's why she looks a little better on the coat version, because you don't necessarily see the arms. I don't know if there's a way to "fix" McFarlane wrists, short of just sanding down the peg or something. I don't know if there even are any shorter wrist pegs; I don't often take the hands off. Either way, I'm probably good on the Supergirl figures for now, so it's not a huge deal, but definitely an odd choice. I'm sure the inevitable Mattel Kara won't have that problem.
 
I really like Trenchcoat Supergirl's cardboard backing but of course it's ruined by the card and stand being attached to it. I found one of the empty cardboard stuffed Krypto trays with the same pretty key art - and put it in my bag. Problem solved! :)

When I left for college my friends stole the cardboard Famke Jansen Jean standee from TRU for me as a parting gift.

Not a bad idea! Every once in a while I'll see a cardboard display that I like and think would make an excellent display or backdrop (if I had the room). I'm just always wary, since I had friend once who did that- just took one of the small cardboard display things without asking, thinking it wouldn't be a big deal because it was empty- but because there was barcode on the display itself, it set the sensors off and became a whole thing. They didn't get arrested or anything, but the store took it oddly seriously.
 
You're supposed to destroy them or hold them for the rep to destroy or take. That is my experience from Toys R Us and software etc.

I gave away a Madden standee once because my boss didn't want it floor and EA and the DM raised a shit fit.

Meanwhile the Nintendo and movie reps just gave us everything.
 
Yeah, I'm always a bit unsure how it all works. Sometimes a store/theater/whatever is super cool about it and will just give it to you. Sometimes they'll say the company needs it back afterward, which never really made much sense- most of it'll probably get destroyed anyway. I always figured they just said that because one of the employees wanted it for themselves, but I'm sure there's at least some truth to some of it. Maybe it's a legal thing with likeness rights or whatever- who knows?
