McFarlane DC Multiverse

Took a break from sitting vigil at the hospital today and stopped at a Target and they had 2x Bronze Tiger, OMAC and Eclipso... first time seeing them in person. Eclipso looks great so I picked him up. Thought about OMAC too, but left him. Didn't even consider Bronze Tiger... not my Tiger

Finally able to pick up 1940 Batman.

The “black” is actually a very dark grey with some shimmer in it, really only noticeable in bright light but definitely there. The black shading on the cowl is still there. It really feels like a “vintage” deco all around, incredibly satisfying. The wired cape is great for making those angles in the cape from action shots of the period. I love how large the bat logo is on his chest, really differentiates him from blue/grey version of this beyond just adding the extra points. The headsculpt looks very stern and “Hollywood noir” in this deco.

I truly dig this figure, very possibly my favorite Batman in the whole line. He’s fighting Solomon Grundy as we speak, in a team-up with Alan Scott.

I received my 3 Batman figures from EE today. AzBat looks so much better with the darker blue. It was weird, they were all individually wrapped in their own cardboard inside of the box. I never saw that before. I guess it's added protection.

thats how my 2 @ Joker 89 collector series figures showed up

If that Batman has a cloth cape I might bite. I’ve got all of the others other than Captain Carrot.
I saw the Golden Age Batman at GameStop today. At $27 I probably would have gotten it. At $35 it was a pass. A difficult pass, but still a pass.
That Batman looks like it has the same plastic cape.
If you happen to see the Golden Age Batman at Target, I think it's $25.

I'm glad they are doing more vault figures. I missed out on the Comedian Joker. I didn't realize it was a Gamestop exclusive at the time and I think I kept waiting to see if I would find it in the store or on sale. Aside from platinum figures I would like to see SDCC Collector Edition Beast Boy, Page Punchers Dawn of DC Shazam & Digital Silver Age Hal Jordan.

Not from the vault per se but they should re-release any army builder figures for those who like them. I'm thinking the Green Lantern Corps or Manhunters.

I passed on Golden Age Batman today too because he was $35 at Game Stop. It's not a Collector's Edition figure, but they are charging CE prices. I have so many Batman's, I just didn't feel like paying that marked up price for a millionth Batman in a line that's ending. Had he been $27 I would have bought him.

Which might be stupid. We're just talking $8 bucks. But it's the principal. Why is Game Stop charging $8 more and on top of that, me having so many Batman's, I didn't feel like I had to have it. Very cool looking figure though.

And that Wave 2 of the Vault looks nice. I'd get all but Cpt. Carrot, I think.

How long does the Drawing Board figures take to receive? The Harley Quinn Drawing Board ended at the beginning of November. If I didn't keep the emails in my Inbox I would have forgotten about it by now. It's been 7 months. Does it take a year?

The "Todd hates Harley" evidence keeps piling up... he had to make ten million Batmens first.

I sure hope she's coming soon - I'm definitely getting impatient!

The Drawing Board FAQ said it takes "at least 6 months". I'm sure current world and geopolitical issues aren't helping matters either. I suppose it also depends if they have to send either one for actor's approval too.

I'm glad Todd is doing these vault figures. Cyborg Superman is one of his best figures and anyone who wants one should have one.

I too forgot about that movie Harley and I ended up doing a last minute backing. Gotta be coming before the license expires.........right?
