McFarlane DC Multiverse

I found and bought the Superman with the lion head with a complete lack of joy. I want it because the lion head looks cool and unique. But it's $35 for a reuse buck and some new heads. At what point does "looks cool" become not good enough when the price just creeps up and up and there is zero value for your dollar? I think if I return this I'll feel a lot better.

Sounds like you hit the limit. Like AshTalon I'm only looking for cyborg Superman; if I found him, I'd gladly pay the $27 or whatever he costs. If you're second-guessing the purchase at all, it's probably not worthwhile. I think about like, what else I could do with that $35? You can bet eating korean fried chicken will put a smile on my face for half the price, so why buy future garbage I don't even really want? And that's not a dig on McF toys, all these things are just plastic piles of junk that you don't need, and to *not* want something is kind of a blessing when you're addicted to toy buying.

Agreed!

I's funny McFarlane did that particular Superman variant, because I bought the old DCD one off eBay about 2 years go to use the lion head and hands on one of the earlier McFarlane Superman figures.

Don't know if I ever took pics, but the majority of my DC figs are packed up right now due to lack of display space, so I couldn't even do it now.

There is a new Korean fried chicken place near me and it puts a smile on my face for a third of that price! I went in out of curiosity and I am SOOOOO glad I did. :)

Still can't find the Animated Phantasm anywhere and now Target has removed them from the website. Great. I'll have a leg-less Bruce Wayne forever.

Has anyone seen the Strange Lives of Superman figure go live on Target yet? I saved the link last night and first logged on about a half hour ago and as far as I can tell it hasn’t gone live yet but was someone able to place an order?

I found New 52 Superman this morning. No sign of Strange Lives though. They scanned the barcode and didn’t have any. No one close by did either.

Haven’t checked the preorder or the app.

Shopping on the target app is not fun in the least. It’s just a tangled up mess of unorganized nonsense. I can never find anything when running a search on their site and there have been a frequent number of occasions lately where I have placed an order for something online and the DCPI number is shared amongst other goods in the store? I ordered that Neca Ultimates toon shredder a month ago and when I picked it up, someone handed me a fiber supplement from their pharmacy section. Then there was another instance when I tried to purchase the Hammond Collection Allosaurus and the DCPI code came up as clearanced out Halloween decorations.

Target’s whole damn computer system needs to be scrubbed and redone from scratch if you ask me. Not even their employees can figure it out. And Hasbro should know and understand by now that you can’t support a business on faulty equipment and computer systems.

Unfortunately, it will probably not go live on Target's website. I went first thing yesterday morning to my local Target to grab Cyborg Superman. I discovered the listings while I was there. The listing for Cyborg Superman said "Out of Stock" for that particular store despite me holding it in my hand. Most other locations stated "Not sold in this store".

With that in mind, I asked about the SLoS figure and the employee brought out the movie Superman/Krypto. I checked the listing for SLoS (it shares the DPCI with the movie Superman/Krypto) and it also said "Out of Stock". There was another store about 15 minutes away that also said OoS for SLoS and not "Not sold in this store". So I hoofed it there, asked an employee to grab the 2 the had listed in the back, and he returned with the regular and platinum of SLoS. I bought both and pricematched to the Target app which listed them at $30.

McFarlane themselves stated these would be in-store. It sucks and I am not sure why it needs to be this way. If they're counting on me buying anything else while I'm there, they're wrong. I only bought the figures.

Son of a bitch….fuck it I’m buying on eBay. I already have to pay uber prices so that’s another $20 I have to spend on ride fare just to find the figure anywhere in driving distance so yeah….might as well save myself the time

Looks like BBTS is having a 20% off sale on a lot of Multiverse items right now, through the 6th. Seems to mostly be older, easy to find things, and isn't that much of a discount, but it's something. Only thing I'm really tempted by is the Forever Batmobile, but I only want it for Alfred, so not sure how great a deal it really is.

BBTS has had the preorder for the Corenswet Superman with Krypto in and out of stock all day. I saw it at like 6am, realized I forgot where I preordered mine from. I couldn't find it. Went back to BBTS and it was gone. It was back again at around 10am, now gone again.

My guess is some people found it over the weekend then went right out and canceled their POs so maybe check back there.
