McFarlane DC Multiverse

For housekeeping purposes, I’ve compiled a list of figures that were on the June leaked list and the SDCC announcements that haven’t been announced for preorder yet. No t counting the movie wave.

*Static Shock Gold Label MTS
*Jack Knight Red Platinum
*Zatanna/Bobo. Zatanna is now apparently a Collector’s Edition figure. The fate of Bobo, unknown.
*Atom Smasher/Spectre 2- pack
*Failsafe deluxe figure
*Crisis Joker
*Zero Hour Superman
 
On the last leaked list from earlier this month.

Being cynical, I believe Todd figured out how to make a “cost effective” Platinum Zatanna that would more than compensate for the 60 bucks the Elite Zatanna was gonna cost. And I’m sure he was getting some pushback on the price tag too.

My biggest concern is Detective Chimp.
 
It looks like the big upcoming pre-order dates are Sep. 17th and 18th. Right now it looks like all I'll be picking up are Scarecrow and Dr. Midnight. I like the new Batgirl head sculpt, but not enough to pay for her again since it's basically the exact same figure as 3-Jokers with lighter gray, a cloth cape and new head.

I definitely want Scarecrow and Batman Inc Batman. I don't know if I will get the Hush Riddler. The last Riddler figure that came out was perfect to me. I don't know I need anything beyond him.

I'm kinda in the opposite camp - the classic Riddler is really making his side of the shelf look old. My tastes are more modern anyway, but Riddler is one I think I need to swap for one that doesn't look out of date surrounded by 90s and on designs. Two-Face, Balent Catwoman, orange vest classic Penguin and Bane all look good on that side of the shelf except for Riddler.

If it means we aren't paying over double for an already overpriced figure, then I consider this great news. I'd honestly have to google Bobo to know who he is anyway. Don't care about him.

Looking at the Entertainment Earth Drop Zone, Todd has a preorder date for 9/12/25. Item unknown. Probably not DC related as that stuff usually gets announced several days ahead of time. 9/17/25 is Dr. Midnight and Möbius Chair Batman.

9/18/25 is what I’m curious about. We already know that there is a six figure Batman wave going up that day. But there are three separate McFarlane listings for the 18th. Indicating to me that we’re not done with announcements this week. Were I making a guess, I’d say we see the deluxe Failsafe and the deluxe 2-pack of Atom Smasher/Spectre sometime this week.

Todd needs to get these out for preorder prior to the start of NYCC on 10/9/25. Which I anticipate will be the last big group of DC announcements. Q1 will be huge. Q2 will be Supergirl. Q3 Mattel takes over.
 
Hot diggity, that Scarecrow looks good! It may just be the angle, but I don't think he looks too bulky. Just looks like a dude, which is fine by me. I definitely like my Scarecrow a little lankier, but I have no issue with this look either. Love the little evil grin stitched into the mask. I'm sure he won't be coming with the skull, but I'd love to be wrong on that. Either way, a fine addition to the Crowllection!

Basically just new heads/mods of existing heads, on business suit/formal wear bodies. Hell, he could even be a big jerk and make one a platinum of another.

It's so ironic that with Mattel's old offerings, we were begging them not to release that suited body for the millionth time, and now with Todd, here we are begging for him to release a suited body for once. Though his suited bodies have been pretty hit-or-miss. I'd hope for something closer to the Court of Owls body than the Begins Scarecrow (those bell bottoms are still.....a choice).
 
I'm pretty sure I will skip Earth 2 Batman & Black Mask. I liked the Earth 2 book but the only other Earth 2 figures are the video game Earth 2 Batman & the collectors edition Huntress.

Batman Inc is a maybe. The figure is so similar to Three Jokers Batman and I'm not sure I like the glow around the chest symbol. Batman with the Mobius chair is another maybe. Not sure if I really need or want it.

I will get Batgirl, Riddler, Scarecrow and Dr. Mid-nite. I have time to figure out if I will preorder or look for them in the wild.

I have always cherry picked from this line but more so with prices going up. I usually got some figures on sale if I was on the fence but that doesn't happen as much as it did a few years ago.

My concern is purely CE vaporize on PO open around me, but Elites are easy to get. Price, probably. And they've also never been DC, so who can say.
