McFarlane DC Multiverse

Speking of which... has the Starman/Larfleeze/Black Condor/Gangbuster wave been officially mass-solicited? I've seen a few small online stores with them (and quickly sold out), but I was hoping to order them from EB. Anyone have any insight on that?

Like every other figure, I’ll get Miss Martian eventually, one way or another. I don’t get FOMO. I get POMO (Pissed Off at Missing Out).

I'm sure I'll track one down too, even though every one of these little shit shows makes me think I should just give up the line a little early. He just waited on a bunch of characters I wanted since year one until the very end and I assume Mattel won't make them for years either.

That's also what gets me - Todd seemed to be most interested in the very fringe of DC and ignored the core. For YEARS.

Why not do both from the start?

Tried to get Bloodwynd from GameStop but sold out. No interest in the rest of that wave.

Same here. Hopefully I'll be able to find him in-store at GS or Target. Worse comes to worst, I'll just pay the flipper fees on eBay at some point down the way. Now that this line is ending, I'm more willing to pay on the secondary to just get the last few I need. Just finally pulled the trigger on platinum Azbat for 45 bucks because I'm ready to just be done. Still want The Question, but I sure as hell ain't dropping a hundo on that MFer.

Lots of new stuff up at CMD Store tonight. Including some Platinums and Red Platinums. Just scored Jack Knight and Shazam. Decent enough price considering customs and shipping.

I was going to suggest trying to do an in-s preorder, but the last time I tried this, I was told that you can’t preorder anything that has a release date of less than 15 days from now. The release date on these is 4/25. It may still be worth a shot, I have no ideas if that employee was providing correct information.

I did this at my GameStop with no obvious problems. Hopefully it works out.
And I found Hush2 Batman when I stopped in as well!

Thank you! Just grabbed the BTAS Clock King set and actually got to pick the Platinums (last ones in stock), so that I’m only buying two figures I already have instead of 4. The piece of mind of not having to chase these outweighs the sticker shock.

If anyone is interested, they have the set of 4 without Platinums still up, and the price is pretty reasonable.

Thanks! Not knowing yet what's going on with these retail-wise, just picked up Larfleeze and Jack Knight from them. Black Condor and Gangbuster are the ones I really want from this wave, and unforch they were already sold out. But at least that takes care of 2 of the 4.

The Jack Knight wave should be official next week sometime. Shazam, Starman, Larfleeze, and Red Platinum Gangbuster and Black Condor. By my count, that just leaves us with OMAC and Bronze Tiger that we know of. Time for some reveals. With no big cons or events on the horizon and no scheduled McFarlane Toys TV show announced, I’m wondering when that’ll be. There’s an insane amount of rumors out there with eight and a half months to go. It’s nut crackin’ time.

EB got my Silver Supergirl delivers. No plat. Not too shaken up, but it would have been fun.

It's a simple figure, but I love it. I ordered two for paint and I'm just going to keep both. Supergirl is one of my fave DC things since I was a kid. I really like the headsculpts and expressions, they came out super clean and give some nice personality.

I appreciate how short stack she is compared to Peeg.

McF is feeding me this year as a Supergirl fan, and since no one else is, I'm hyped.

Mine too. Growing up in the 70s, I was all about the Megos, and of course I had a Mego Supergirl. That prompted me to start collecting all of her 70s comic appearances including her short lived solo book. They weren’t exactly literary masterpieces, but I think I just loved her overall look and the idea of her.

My DC pecking order goes

1) Huntress (Helena Bertinelli)
2) Zatanna
3) Supergirl (Kara Zor-El)
4) JSA (40s-80s and Goyer/Robinson/Johns)
5) Green Lanterm (Hal Jordan)

Thanks! Not knowing yet what's going on with these retail-wise, just picked up Larfleeze and Jack Knight from them. Black Condor and Gangbuster are the ones I really want from this wave, and unforch they were already sold out. But at least that takes care of 2 of the 4.

I’d keep on checking the various Canadian etailers. Sometimes things come back in stock pretty randomly. I’ve also noticed that most of the Canadian etailers don’t put stuff up for sale unless it’s already in stock. DJC seems to be the exception. I did preorder Gangbuster and Black Condor from them. But it came in stock fairly quickly and should be delivered over the weekend.
