McFarlane DC Multiverse

Well hey now, I was just able to get a Year One Batman off of Walmart's website easy as pie. Said there were three left. No Gordon though.
 
Just got home from a long trip and enjoyed opening the boxes of toys that had arrived while I was away and forgot I had Fate, Supes and Two-Face waiting for me!

Anyone know if there's a particular reason the Animated Phantasm figure seems to be hard to find? I've found everyone else a few times/places, but never that one - and I just want it for Bruce's legs!!
 
I stopped at 1 Best Buy, 3 Gamestops, 3 Targets, 3 Walmarts and 3 comic book stores today hoping to find any of SA Bizarro, Hawkgirl, Jade or Jim Gordon and came up empty everywhere. I'd like to buy them but my order of priority is Jade, Plat Hawkgirl, Reg Hawkgirl, James Gordon and Bizarro. The figures that I saw multiples of everywhere were Adam Strange, Deadshot and Year One Batman. I did end up finally picking up the Plat Blue Y1 Batman on a whim after walking buy it and passing on it so many times. Batman with a gun holster just doesn't feel right to me.

I'm mildly annoyed that McTS hasn't shipped the Armored GL, Cowbay Bats and Eradicator bundle that I pre-ordered over a month ago while it's showing up at brick and mortar. Erad is the only one that I really even wanted but decided to do the bundle pricing on McTS and use a $20 coupon that I had been sitting on.

GITD Captain Carrot is fantastic. Haven't had a chance to charge him via sunlight yet, but he glows brightly from 5 seconds of black light exposure. He looks especially interesting glowing in low-light, rather than no light, since his clothes are grey while he glows green. The DC logo on his stand and card stand glow as well; the trading card and box do not glow. The trading card is serial numbered, this particular piece limited to 5,700, mine was 1,400-something. He is missing the black cat-eyeliner under his eyes from the yellow original version, but otherwise looks almost exactly the same (couple small changes like no glove paint and a white C).

Captain Carrot is my favorite DC Multiverse figure so this is an exciting release. The grey color of his body is different enough from his head that he doesn't look naked, which was my only concern. It kind of looks like he's wearing a baseball jersey. His lack of color makes him look like an evil version of CC to me.









 
Just found Killer Croc and Grim Knight at Target - I thought this was a GameStop exclusive? I literally bought it from GameStop THIS MORNING. :(

Do all the Crocs have a flaw on their chins? It looks like it fell on the floor while hot and the chin got smooshed. There was a second at Target that looked the same (with some very shifty eyes) and I looked at a review that also seemed to have it.

I managed to get an order in for Year One Batman last week on Walmart’s app, but the figure I actually got was the platinum one. This is one case where that’s not what I wanted.

I put in another order a day or two later but it was canceled. Just put an order in for both Year One Batman and Gordon tonight. Hoping to actually get it.

I ordered Bizzaro and Green Lantern and only GL arrived. Bizzaro was "delayed" after the app said it was out for delivery - and then cancelled two days later. Placed another order and just got "delayed" again so... probably know how that ends.
 
The Red Cyborg Superman was announced today as a Target Gold Label. Making him somewhat easier to acquire. Presumably. According to McFarlane Instagram, he’s in store only exclusive. So apparently, no preorders. Happy hunting. Attached to the Green Lantern mythos, I’m passing.
 
I did indeed pick up SA Superman at lunch time and he is everything as advertised! Definitely the best Superman figure I have ever owned. It feels like he jumped right out of the comics of my youth in the '70s and '80s! Love him. He looks so good with Knightfall Batman. I can't believe I want a redo of him with a wired cape already and with a shade darker grey and it would be perfect. I just wish the CE of Wonder Woman didn't cost so much on the after market. I never once saw her in a store. I did see her at two toy shows but one dealer had her for $65 and another for $75. If I had known I would never see her again I probably would have bought one of them. I hate not having the Trinity all together.

Yeah... I'll probably pick up the Taget exclusive Henshaw and then remove the cape and chest emblem and just have him be a rampaging Cyborg in my display... he can kind of be Faker 2.0 or maybe the Horde's answer to Faker...

Still waiting patiently on my preorder to arrive. I have not seen him in the wild. No sightings at Target, my Walmarts don't carry McFarlane DC.
