McFarlane DC Multiverse

He's done the same spiel multiple times in this thread now. Haven't said anything before, said it now. If one wants to inform others that he's seen pics on IG, it's good practice to post a link to said pics, especially with how easy it is to copy a link from Instagram.

There.
So what? You get to call the guy lazy because YOU'RE too lazy to go looking on Instagram for yourself?

You have fingers that work. You know how Instagram works. Go look for yourself. Or, again, ask politely. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

You've got an issue, man. You're the one who was/is constantly trying to control how others post on Fwoosh, you are consistently rude. I've seen your behavior plenty of times before and rarely does anyone call you on your bullshit. Well, I am. Don't bring that bullshit here.

You have someone (me) who is actively working on his communication methods telling you that you are rude--heed that person's advice. Learn how to ask politely.

Why would he be under any obligation to help you after you were being a dick and insulting to him?

OK, let’s all take this down a notch.

Yes, it is generally good etiquette to actually post a link, although sometimes it may be difficult/impossible to do so.

Also no need to escalate any of this to aggressive back-and-forth. Way more important things to get riled up about than links or lack thereof.
Saw your post after posting mine, my apologies.

Truth is I didn’t know how until I noodled around with it a bit. It’s not exactly intuitive and Instagram tends to be somewhat resistant. I tried to post a follow up of Emerald Twilight Hal Jordan and it wouldn’t let me. Said see this image on Instagram.

This is the last time I reply to you about this. I'm not asking him to be nice to me, nor to make my specific viewing experience here easier.

Consider this example: user A posts

"Guys there are pics of the new Batman wave on IG"
Leaves without saying who posted them, sharing a link or anything at all that would be helpful for others. Instagram isn't cable tv, finding a specific post there is a bit more elaborate than flicking through channels on cable.

User B
"Guys there are pics of the new Batman wave on IG"
Pastes the link.

Which of these 2 posting styles sounds better in your opinion? Which one would actually lend itself to starting a conversation about the pics?

Yes, my comment was on the rude spectrum but I'm not going to apologize because nothing I said was wrong. I'm also not American, where I'm from we're much more blunt, we don't have to butter up the person first before reprimanding them like you Americans do. No offence.

One of the folks who attended the McFarlane / EB Games meetup event in Montreal Canada mentioned speaking with the McFarlane folks about the Batman 89 Joker and he said he was told Nicholson charges $1m for his likeness rights which means the figure would be $150 apiece which most consumers would balk at. They did tell him they were looking at doing an 89 Joker that would appear less like Nicholson and more like a generic version of him that may have appeared in any print media around the time as that wouldn't require the same licensing fees. So there IS hope for an 89 Joker, just one that looks less spot on for Nicholson.

To be honest I hope they didn't pay a lot for Margot Robbie's likeness, as that Harley Quinn they're showing doesn't look that similar to her in my opinion.

I have to wonder if they couldn't just do a 89 Joker 3pk or even 4pk if they paid the $1mil, since I don't think once you pay for the license you're limited to just make a one version figure of Jack's Joker.

Maybe:

Regular standard suited Joker perhaps with "You wouldn't hit a man with glasses" and/or "Wait til they get a load of me" swappable heads
Suited Joker with a hat and overcoat and swappable pre-whiteface Jack Napier head
Art Museum Joker with the standard face and beret and laughing melted makeup face swappable head
Mime Joker from the limo scene

There was also some mention of making a Green Lantern construct pack for the regular Multiverse GL's before the line was done.

With Page Punchers being the newest avenue for Todd to keep making DC 7in figures if possible since it's DC Direct. The regular Multiverse line would be ending, he seemed to say with finality. It sounds like the Batman the Animated Series and Superfriends figures are likely to continue as they're already planning more of those.

A GL construct pack would be a fantastic idea.
And cool that they're still trying to find a way to make more 7" stuff even when Mattel takesover.

One million bucks for the sale and usage of Nicholson’s likeness rights? God damn that’s a tad exorbitant. He hasn’t even acted in a movie in over 10 years. Also it makes me wonder how the writers and artists of DC comics were ever able to get the movie adaptation comic book and all of its affiliated merchandise off the ground during the time of the movie since I doubt DC had that kind of scratch to throw around in 1989. I know they were still riding high from the likes of Frank Millers work and Vertigo but still….that ain’t cheap!
