Mattel MOTU Chronicles Movie Figures

The reveals all look pretty dang good. Sorceress looks great, Spikor coming is really cool, Beast and Goat Man both look dope. Didn't get a chance to see the new parts on Fisto and how they compare to the 2 pack, but nice to know there's options. By this time next year I'm sure I'll have way more MOTU figures than I ever thought I'd have (I already do)
 
Seeing that Chronicles Beast Man is sold out on BBTS, I will say I'm relieved to see him confirmed as the movie design and not part of these new original takes, which are what really interest me. But I wouldn't really sweat it yet anyway, he'll be available when the time comes I'd imagine!
 
Beast Man will surely be back in stock at BBTS.

Here's what I'm wondering. Beast Man, you would guess, will be taller than your standard Chronicles figure, yet he's standard price. They are saying Goat Man will be bigger, Clawful looks HUGE plus he's got all that paint. Surely, SURELY they will charge more for those, right? But again, that Beast Man is standard price. They wouldn't be giving us that kind of value per dollar on top of everything else would they?
 
They showed the Clawful prototype in what looked like standard packaging. I think they might be charging same price as standard sized figures.
 
That big dude with all that unique sculpting and all that paint? No way. $35 - $40 if that was a Hasbro figure. At least.
 
Cool, I did a bit of googling, I have a few of those Golden Books but Secret of the Dragon's Egg is not one of them. Good to know.

Practically every figure in this line so far is a new sculpt. The only instance off reuse I can think of is He-Man and King Grayskull. They’re charging the same price for He-Man and Trap Jaw who is probably 20% bigger and bulkier than He-Man, and Teela, who’s probably 70% the size of He-Man. And they’ve kept the line at 26.99, a dollar less than Marvel Legends. I don’t think Clawful at that price is out of the realm of reality.
 
They did mention a couple of different bucks when talking about the non movie Man at Arms. Obviously doesnt apply to Clawful, but imguess jot everything will be new sculpts forever.

I was expecting him to be the bolder blue but he matches the lighter one really well. Comes with two grip hands and a left fist and right open like the main release. The towel comes with a convenient little pocked to store unused hands. Two dumbbells and one larger barbell. The hoodie and shorts overlay are two separate pieces, and are made of soft rubber that could potentially deteriorate, so that’s a bit worrisome. His headband is removable, and he’s totally bald under the hood. The package works as a nice backdrop. This is a very amusing figure to have, but easy to skip. I didn’t want to because this was one of the most unexpected surprises in the movie, and equally unexpected to get the action figure treatment. He feels just as fluid in articulation as the rest of Chronicles, so I have high hopes for the line going forward.
