Mattel MOTU Chronicles Movie Figures

I finally saw the two variants of He-Man side by side at the same store. Unfortunately it was a Walmart that hadn't marked down their figures yet, but if/when they do I'll definitely pick up that other He-Man, I think the head sculpt/paint is much better.

All the Origins figures have been pegwarming near me. Like, a full endcap worth of them and they've hardly sold any. Chronicles and Core have been selling well, though. I just don't know how many kids these days like that style of figure- they definitely feel a little more collector-focused, to folks who grew up with that squat, muscular style.

Right, they’re technically the most inaccurate in terms of appearance. It’s a charm for a different generation of collectors. Having gotten the Core playset of the castles, I want smaller figures who will scale well. I have Core H&S, but I don’t love how they feel. I picked up Origins He to go with, but won’t even open it til I have Skel, which I POed. But I’ve just opened the door to wanting other characters in this style. Stupid.
 
If your Target still has Battle Cats be sure to scan them! One near me had a ton marked at $30 but they scanned at $12.

I have still yet to see a single Chronicles figure other than the first three. At least with the reset Target got in the Roboto/Trapjaw "touch my leg" figures. I'm sure they have a better name...
 
I'm glad I don't feel like I need these different Skeletors like Gym Bro and the Date Night Skeletor. They are cool ideas and make fun figures, but it's nothing I feel I need or want.

I do wish however I could come across some of the Wave 2 Chronicles, normal Skeletor so I could get the darker blue or "all the teeth" variants. But I NEVER see that Wave. Everything is Wave 1 with He-Man, his variants, Man At Arms, and Tri Klops.
