Mattel MOTU Chronicles Movie Figures

I would love an Origins Titus.
I'd like a Megator more. Just because I always like my bad guys to outnumber/outgun my good guys. But yeah.. Tytus would be great. I -thought- we were going to get him when the WWE Origins line got Andre the Giant, and other crossovers have had big guy parts for Megator (was it Krang?). But it just.. never happened because Mattel hates the vintage line and the people that still want to collect vintage line stuff.

All I HAVE to have is Two Bad, Blade, Saurod, and Gwildor. Anything else they make I'll buy and be thrilled, but I had better see all 4 of those figures in my Origins collection when all is said and done with this line.

But I would genuinely love a NA He-Man and Skeletor.

In a perfect world, they'd give us the unique characters remaining from the vintage POP line. But I'll be realistic for now and stick to the 4 I said.

One of the best experiences of my life was the European vacation I took with my wife 10 years ago; London, Paris, and in between the two, a couple of days in a small town in England called Rye. My dream was to stumble across a small antique store and find Titus, Yak Face, and the Euro GI Joe Tiger Force figures (all of which were European exclusives) for like 10 US dollars each. THAT fantasy never became realized, but it was a hell of a good time regardless. (Enjoying a pint in a small pub in the middle of England with a brick fireplace and a boar's head on the wall made up for the lack of vintage Euro-exclusive figures).

Enjoyed the movie just as much the second time around (with the ticket I actually paid for weeks ago). Stuck around til after the credits and there’s one more zinger I missed the first time.
I'm going Sunday with my hard-core MOTU buddy.

It might be time for me to take an internet break so as to stay spoiler-free.

Just got back from the movie and had a really good time, even not knowing anything about the series (other than basic well-known things). Probably missed a bunch of easter eggs, but that didn't stop the movie from being just a silly, feel-good time. I like the recent string of hero movies that are focused on just being a good person and not the typical definition of a manly hero. It took itself more earnestly than seriously, which I liked.

Nicholas Galitzine did a great job- was dorky and likable without being annoying. Wimpy at times, but I still bought all the tougher moments. And even though I don't care for Leto as a person, even I'll admit Skeletor was probably the best thing about the movie. Looking forward to seeing it again soon.

A couple of characters feel a little wasted
I'm taking my son on Friday, so I haven't seen it yet and am responding just -generally-.
I think this is always going to be the case where you have a property with basically one true main hero character, one true main villain character, and a TON of popular side characters. Short of a 50-episode TV show running for multiple seasons, it'll basically be impossible to serve every character appropriately, and some of them are just going to end up being there as a "HEY, THAT GUY!"

If they manage to make it not that or even SOME of the side characters, then I think that's actually a win.

Oh yeah for sure. Im talking about like Triklops, who has no lines. But also the movie spends a lot of time with the main cast and a few secondaries, and they're all great. Adam and Skeletor are both wonderful, Teela is great, MAA has a lot going on, Roboto is fun. Fisto, Ram Man, Beast Man, The Sorceress and Evil Lyn and Trap Jaw all have a few lines but nothing to write home about from a character perspective, though all have fun moments (And Trap Jaw is a legit threat for sure).
But i mean i REALLY want a figure for Adam, Beast Man, Dian and Mekanek in Chronicles now. actually a couple of thjem have a few different looks that would work. They all deserve some cool toys. I quite like Randors look in the film too, and wish we'd gotten some more Marlena.

I just think as long as you go in expecting a cartoon you'll have fun. The action is surprisingly good (rtheres a fight in the middle that was legit amazing) and the film LOOKS gorgeous all the time. I love Eternia, and hope if we get some more, then we get to see more parts of the world.

Tri-Klops has one line of dialogue I remember - "I have eyes on the sword."

Beast Man has some good lines, Evil Lyn has great lines, but Skeletor has the best lines.
