Mattel MOTU Chronicles Movie Figures

When the Vintage Collection was announced I thought, "this will be my modern MOTU line", and nearly bought Skeletor as soon as he went up for sale. But my previous experiences made me hesitate. There still isn't a damn He-Man out in Vintage Collection, as far as I'm aware, so once again, unfortunately a non-starter.
There is a Vintage He-Man, sorta: https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/203439

Yeah, the 40th Anniversary He-Man was the launch of the "Vintage" subline, though it wasn't called that yet.

And that He-Man had slightly different packaging that had a bigger window revealing the figure. But it's essentially the exact same aesthetic the Vintage line is going for.

That 'Vintage' He-Man also had all that gross 2000s ToyBiz paint wash that none of the later 'Vintage' figures got. So he sticks out like a brown-washed thumb.

Yeah, ol' boy got dirt in his cracks. I remember when that came out and was disappointed with the paint wash. Thanks for the info though, y'all! Was not aware that he is meant to be somewhat sort of part of the Vintage Collection.

I own him, and I think the brown wash looks worse in photos than it does in-hand. I don't really even notice it anymore.
I had him too, and I absolutely hated it.
But it goes back to like what.. ML10 Cyclops? Some people were fine with that figure and some people couldn't unsee that he had gotten to their shelf only after crawling through a sewer.

I still think they never made a decent He-man in Masterverse. I only have the first one and Battle cat and while they do look cool together, yeah that first He-man is just not good. But I have not seen another that is much better than that, UNTIL now with these movie figures.

I always thought they should re-release the old MOTU classics figures, at least the heavy hitters. That line had some great sculpts too. I was never able to get any of them.

The Revolution Battle Armor one is pretty rad.

Yeah, the Revolution BA He-Man, which also has the harness to make him just regular He-Man, is legitimately the best out-of-the-box He-Man figure in Masterverse. And, as far as 'normal' He-Man figures go there isn't even a second-best. It's him or nothing. But New Adventures He-Man is also a solid release, and '87 He-Man is great if you go the 3rd party head route.
