Mattel Kids/Core MOTU Movie Line and Products

Here is Mad Hatter's review of the vehicles. I have to say it has spiked my desire for the Fright Fighter because man does it look awesome. Guess I'm going to get sucked into the Core line at a minimum:

I finally got around to opening all my Kids Core line figures. And I can't say enough good about these little toys. At $10, with all the articulation and detail, these figures may be the best value and most fun on the market right now.

Even if you don't buy the entire line, you owe it to yourself to get Skeletor. The basic, single card release Skeletor. This figure looks so cool. In some ways, it rivals the Chronicles version in looks. It just has so much detail, a kind of wash on the face that makes the skeletal features just stand out and pop, and such vibrant colors.

The Skeletor in the 4 pack and the action feature Skeletor are all different. The best looking one is the single carded, $10 Skeletor.

The action feature figures are actually a lot of fun too, and the Battle Cat with electronic sounds is amazing.

I really recommend these. They are just a lot of fun and give such a better feel of what it was like to just be buying toys to play with as a kid.

Don't get me wrong, Chronicles are amazing. The best figures Mattel has ever let out, and perhaps currently the best figures out there especially for the cost when it comes to an adult collectible figure.

But these kid core figures are something special all their own. And just how Mattel really did something impressive in the adult collectible space with Chronicles, they did something really special here as well in the kids toy space.

I totally understand if you are buying Chronicles, being they are superior, you may not need or want to spend the money on an entire other collection of the same characters and looks from the same film. But get Skeletor, He-Man, and Battle Cat. They look great and they are so much fun. If you want to go even cheaper, just get that Skeletor. He would look good and brighten your day on any desk or table in the world. And he's $10
I went and got Skeletor today because you told me to.

I like him a lot. He and He-Man are both really well done for the price, and the price is a big source of the happiness of this line. I want to take a dry brush to them and make the details pop, but no rush on that. I don't have room for more figures at my place of work so they can hang out on my windowsill by my art desk along with Balrog and E Honda.

The face on Teela is off which drove me away from her, but I was watching Pixel Dan saying there is another version coming with the hair back and the tiara on and he claims that one looks better. Anyone have a pic of that?

I'm glad you got, and liked Skeletor yojoebro82. I definitely encourage everyone on here to follow yojoebro as an example and do whatever I suggest here on Articulated Thoughts. My wisdom has brought peace, freedom, justice, and security to my toy forum of choice and yojoebro's collection.

There aren't any pics I know of for the V.2 Teela. He-Man V.2 is the only Kids Core V.2 figure we've seen so far, I think.

I bought some kids core stuff today as well. I bought a second electronic Battle Cat, Roton, and the electronic light up Power Sword. I hadn't seen any of those at retail around me, but I was at a Target today and they had all kinds of MOTU Movie merch.

It's so fun seeing all this He-Man stuff at retail.
