Mattel DC Figures

Sounds like Paramount will be keeping Gunn and Safran. That seems solid enough. A rumor is also going around that the Snyderverse could be reinstated and run Parallel to the DCU. It may take six to twelve months to close the deal with regulatory approval. Bringing us back to a time when there were only three choices on TV. ABC, CBS, and NBC. Disney, Paramount, and Universal. Between them, they’ll have consolidated most mainstream media outlets in The U.S.A. If it happens, it’s the final flip. Nowhere to go from here.

What’s interesting is that if the deal doesn’t close, it seems WBD will still walk away with a pile of cash to put towards paying down their debt.

Found a Hal Jordan I'd actually like to buy.

Apparently he got burned, and his first reaction was like, "Well, if I have to cover up this burn, I should just be a cowboy with it." And as you can see here, the result is going around having ring-laser fights with Masters of the Universe characters, just dudes with multi-stacked torsos. I fear people have been over-complicating the whole GL thing. We could have been doing this the entire time.

Not only that, David Zaslav is stating that this whole deal might not even happen, still. Paramount themselves is not exactly flush with cash right now. There are also AGs in California vowing to combat it.

All is not lost, but shall be interesting to see what takes place. As I see it, as bad as it sounds, it basically appears that Ellison wants it just to have something to compete with Disney. It feels dystopian, but we can only wait and see.

Never read any of the 2099 stuff. But I did read OMAC back in the day. Seven corporations controlled the world. But were increasingly hostile towards one another.

Remember when reading SpiderMan 2099 and the country was split up into a handful of mega corporations that everybody owed their allegiance to and how farout that sounded right? Remember?.................Remember?

I grew up reading William Gibson and Bradbury so nothing sounds far out. Just shocked that so many people lack the pattern recognition.

I had to find stacked torso guy. He may have made it into my top 100 wanted DC characters.
His name is Borch and only made one appearance in GL #110.
We need the return of Borch ASAP!
