Masters of the WWE Universe

Okay, I am not usually big on these MOTU mashups.

But making Nash and Hall into Two-Bad is genius.

The original run of the WWE x MOTU line was fun. Glad to see it come back and some of the offerings look cool (Nash/Hall). Want to see more of the Fright Zone ring because I have one of the first releases (Grayskull ring) and it is definitely fun and actually goes well with Castle Grayskull. So a ring to go with the Fright Zone could be fun as well.

Jesus Christ. These fucking assholes at Mattel will actually release ANY version of Two-Bad that isn't the actual classic figure that everyone is waiting for.

Didn't you see the news? With the latest reveals Mattel also updated their MOTU slogan.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Fuck you Damien!!!! :ROFLMAO:

I have it on good authority that they are actively trying to give you an aneurism and that is why they keep putting out any and all types of Two-Bad, except the classic Origins version.

I'm kinda meh on the Masters of WWE coming back, as it seems to have replaced(?) Superstars. Superstars was already kind of dead in the water though, I guess.

For me it will depend on what/who they release and how they look. One of the fun things from the first go round was the character selection and their designs were fun and right in my wheelhouse.

This time around, from what I am seeing in the pics, it looks like they may not be as cool design-wise and some of the character choices are wrestlers I have no attachment to personally. However I'll wait and see more before deciding if I should get in, or wait for sales.

Superstars did nothing for me because I had no interest in regular WWE characters in MOTU style bodies.

I think the Outsiders/Two-Bad crossover is pretty fun. Hogan as Hordak is a good choice if you are willing to overlook that Hogan is a fucking sleazebag piece of garbage and no one should buy action figures of him - which I am distinctly not willing to overlook.

Cody is just uninspired and incredibly lazy. It's Cody... but in battle armor, I guess. How the fuck do you look at the shirtless blonde guy in blue tights whose favorite color is gold and NOT make him New Adventures He-Man? Fucking INANE. Mattel even has molds for the sword and armor that they never got to use after the first time.

HBK as a bow is a pretty solid choice and the figure looks fun.

Bray is awful. It's just Prince Adam with a Bray head. That's just 'we ran out of ideas, so here you go, I guess. Whatever.'

The big kicker is that I don't even care how good or bad they are because they are WILDLY overpriced. Especially in Canada. Last time these were available at Walmart they were THIRTY FIVE FUCKING DOLLARS.

Toyhabits has the official photos posted on their site and it is an easy wait for a sale.

Looking at the official photos I didn't realize how much reuse there was for this new batch. It looks like they have very few, if any, new parts. For the most part it looks like they just took bodies, heads, and accessories from the previous WWE x MOTU line and the Superstars line to make this new wave.

So it will be an easy pass for me until a sale/discount because I don't feel like paying the current market retail prices for nearly 100% reuse.
