Masters of the Universe X Thundercats

Possibly I am the only member on this board who's gonna keep the Cats in their MotU armor, aren't I? :) Not generally a TC fan, MotU is the impetus for these purchases for me.

Nope... I am absolutely planning to keep them in mash-up mode. Thats the whole point of the line.

Maybe that’s ONE of the points. To me this line is about making classic TCats at this particular scale and style, compatible with MotUO. Otherwise, they wouldn’t make the armor removable. The options are the point.

I agree...with both sides. This is a mash-up crossover line, so yes the enhanced looks for the Thundercats are cool. The option to make them classic looking is a great bonus. We all use them either/both ways. Personally, I'll likely turn them into their classic looks and leave them like it. But the Eternian looks are a cool bonus.

If I didn't already have the Super 7 Thundercats, vintage Thundercats, Savage World Thundercats, and Mezco Thundercats I probably would display them as their basic looks but this time I'm going different and I'm going to display them in the other room with my Origins figures fighting the Horde and Snake invasion with their MOTU allies.

So let's say they do make Snarf in this line. What if they did something fun like make him Battle Cat size and someone Lion-O could ride? Give him armor he can wear too. Like he somehow gets powered up while on Eternia.

Is there a comic explanation for why Battle Cat Man exists? I haven't opened any of mine yet. I feel like Lion-O used the Sword of Omens as a conduit for the power of Grayskull and used it to transform Battle Cat into Battle Cat Man. I hope that's the actual real explanation but if not it's now my canon for him.

In the included comic, he’s a long lost Thunderan.

There was a TC/MotU crossover comic long before these toys became a thing where Lion-O did use the Sword of Omens to transform Cringer:

It kind of seemed like a no brainer idea to me and is a way better backstory than Battlecat being a Thunderian.

I received my second Skel-Ra from Target today. This one will be displayed as Skel-Ra. I like how he looks, though I have to keep the head angled upwards for it to look right with the hood, otherwise it shows too much forehead/dome. I don’t really want to display with Mumm-Ra’s Sword of Plundar, and I’m kinda surprised they didn’t include some kind of Third Earth hybrid of the Havoc Staff, so he feels a bit incomplete. For now he will be duking it out with Battle Cat-Man until He-Man joins him.

BBTS has Wave 1 of the basic figures and the Deluxe figure In Stock if anyone wants them. That's Lion-O, Cheetara, and Battle Cat as a T-Cat for the basics and Skeletor/Mumm-Ra as the Deluxe.
