Masters of the Universe: Origins

I'd be satisfied with just getting Stonedar, Two-Bad, and Blast-Attak now. I'd buy the rest but those 3 would complete it for me, now that Multi-Bot and Dragstor are coming.

They finally have pictures up on the Multi Bot link at Amazon where you can see the figure. It also looks like online you can find pictures of the packaging as well.

I got a processing soon e-mail from BBTS about Deluxe 200X Beast Man. You know, from the subline in Origins I wasn't going to order but caved like an asshole and pre ordered all of because I love MOTU too much and am a weak, weak child. (I'm proud of myself though. I AM NOT buying the Mondo 1/12 200X toys. I am a role model of discipline!)

Anyways, the Beast Man does have Tariff charges like the Masterverse figures that just got processing soon e-mails as well. So, Beast Man is like $26 and some change before shipping.

So, as far as the basic figures go, Wave 2 of the Origins Cartoon 200X line is officially Prince Adam, Evil Lyn, and Zodak and Wave 3 is Skeletor, Man At Arms, and Moss Man.

There are still 3 Deluxe figures to come as well which are Ram Man, Roboto, and Clawful. But no info yet on when they will come out and which Waves each one will accompany. I assume one deluxe figure will be offered along each Wave, much like Wave 1 just was with deluxe Beast Man.

Prince Adam doesn't even come with the 'closed' power sword? Goddamn, Mattel has gotten so fucking cheap.
It's super cheap, and honestly disappointing. At $20 a figure, this is an adult collector line. And I'm sure those prices will go up soon. But they paint the accessories like you would for a kid's line. If I bought a Batman toy from Spin masters for $10, yeah, I'd expect it to have one accessory and that accessory to be all one color.

But for this price and this line, I really wish we'd get better. I tried to keep myself out of the 200X line and then decided to hop in as you may all remember from my silly 180 pot lol. But I need to be smarter now, especially with prices going up on all toy lines. I collect like 6 or 7 current toy lines pretty hard, with a few purchases here and there from other current toy lines and companies.

So, I really think between rising prices and Mattel's cheapness considering what they charge, as well as the fact with 200X I'm just buying all the same characters I already have, I'd rather my money go elsewhere to something else. My true nostalgia for MOTU is the vintage toys and the Filmation Cartoon. So, I will just continue to get Origins figures based on those.

I'll probably get any unique characters from the 200X line like Zodak, or if they ever do like Lord Dactys or Chief Carnivus or something.

I genuinely, sincerely, feel bad for anyone looking forward to this line. It's obvious Mattel decided fans will gobble up anything with the Origins-esque styling and have decided that putting any value into that package is not worth doing. Insulting and trashy.
