Masters of the Universe: Origins

It is strange. That said if you have any MOTUC hover robots… it’s the same figure. I bought a bunch back when Mattel was clearing them out.
 
"Old" figure commentary:

Origins "Lords of Power" Mer Man is one of the most delightful figures in my collection. I loved seeing this guy's silly looking face in the early, early mini comics and I always kind of wished his figure looked that way when I was a kid. And now it does. He came with me for a fun cabin weekend with the family and we got some water pics.

So, it seems we are getting a figure of that big Minotaur character that's on the card art with He-Ro in Origins on Mattel Creations. Tauraton I think is his name. Cool looking character, and I'll be happy to get him, but you already know what I'm about to say.

Where in the blue Hell are the final 4 basic vintage figures of Two Bad, Blade, Saurod, or Gwildor? Especially Two Bad. Why!? Why can't I have the last 4 basic vintage collection figures Mattel?

What kind of sick game are you playing? What's your angle?
 
I figured we’d start seeing more of those bespoke sculpts from the collab waves snd the movie to be used on “new” characters to get some $$ back on the tooling, so Minotaur guy makes sense. And I actually dig the creative stuff they’ve done with kitbashing like for that recent army-builder set.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuut yeah come on let’s finish the vintage guys.
 
They've never even bothered to do Tytus and Megator, despite having 'giant' parts for like 3 years now. I genuinely think someone working on Origins for Mattel actively fucking hates collectors.
 
I hope they make the remaining vintage guys even though I had to trim my Origins collection significantly. It hurt. But I'm the type that still displays my vintage stuff and there just wasn't room for both. I do, however, get some choice cartoon collection figures to complement them. King Randor should be here tomorrow. And I've said before that I will happily take an Origins Titus.
 
Based on some photos I'm seeing, it looks like Tauraton is really big. I wonder what he'll cost? Maybe like $35 or $40?
 
I got the 200x Teela and Orko a few weeks back but never got around to opening them until now. It's funny, I actually just like this Teela ore than any of the others they've made so far - if she were a half-inch taller I'd have her be a stand-in for non-movie Teela with Chronicles for now, but she's just short enough that she doesn't feel right standing next to King Grayskull.

Orko though - he's actually got more/better articulation than the Masterverse Orkos and he's just a little smaller all around, very fudge-able with the bigger figures, so I think he'l be replacing the bare-armed Orko as the one who hangs out in the office for a while.

I wonder what kind of MOTU Origins stuff will be shown at SDCC? I wonder if there is anymore movie Origins still to be revealed, or if we'll see any non movie stuff?

I love origins, but sometimes I do wonder how much time left this line has. With the amount of stuff they've made in origins, and then now having Chronicles for adult collectors, and the newer core and mini masters figures for a cheaper figure, I just feel like with in a year or so they may wrap Origins up.

Another reason i want them to hurry the Hell up and give us Two Bad, Blade, Saurod, and Gwildor at least.

I just wish they'd release all the dinosaurs! I'd buy them all. I want a Tyrantisaurus so bad...
 
Count me in on that. I'd love some big, Mattel, MOTU Origins dinosaurs. I'd buy them right now no questions asked. I'd love to get the Dino's, the Giants, Vikor, Eldor, and quite a few other things honestly. Some New Adventures (at least He-Man and Skeletor), some more POP, there is so much.

But if I don't have Two Bad and the 3 Movie figures from the vintage line, after coming all this way, I'm going to sit here and apparently not have them. And I will be slightly miffed. And I can't live like that.
