I didn't go in on this line, but did pick up the first version of Shredder, and with my order of a couple other MotUO figures, I got 20% off an item of my choice, and I picked Skele-Shredder for $36. I'm glad I did. The presentation on this figure is excellent. He comes in a hexagonal package, shaped like a stone sculpture of his head. When you pull the lid (almost like a slip case) up, it drops the jaw (like Castle Grayskull) and reveals Skele-Shredder sitting in his throne. It's really well executed. To remove the lid, you have to insert your fingers so two flaps don't get caught up in the package folds. I plan to keep this package to replace the throne into because it displays so well. I kinda wish the Masterverse Skeletor with throne had packaging like this.
The figure itself is tough looking. Bony gauntlets with huge claws, three alternate heads (two helmet designs and a skull head, each with Shredder's tri-crest. The hood is attached to a soft goods cape and is easily removable from the head. Lots of great armor, most of which is removable (not from the boots). He comes with a modified Havoc Staff/Naginata. The throne is meant to evoke a combination of bone and metal. I has two slots for a Foot emblem banner and a skull emblem banner (Skeletor's crew never had an official logo! Nor did He-Man.) There are also two curved bones that the extra helmets can attach to, and atop the throne is a third bronze helmet to match the throne, but can also be used as a head on a figure.
Mine has some QC issues - the green paint on his armor peels off. Not sure why the material isn't taking the paints, but they can scrape off with little effort. Otherwise, no loose joints or anything. I have other amalgamated Skeletors (MotU X TCats Skell-Ra) and Shredders (MMPR Green Ranger Shredder). This figure feels right at home in my collection. I'm interested in what Skele-Shredder details would look like at Masterverse scale. Or maybe throw some of this armor on Skell-Ra to make the ultimate '80s villain!
