Masters of the Universe: Masterverse

All of them?
I mean, I'm getting there. I'm trying to think of one I may have missed. I don't have any of the later vintage variants from the 80s past Battle Armor or all the 200x variants but I think I have everything from Classics, Origins, and Masterverse now. Looking back at 200x I WOULD like to have that Fire Armor Skeletor. I always thought he was a step above the rest of the uninspired 200x variants.

One of my best friends pretty much ONLY collects Skeletor when it comes to MOTU. It is insane how many versions there are of him.

I'm trying to find the New Adventures Skeletor cos I skipped him, but I haven't seen him for under 55 bucks in months and I don't like him THAT much.

I need to assemble all my Skeletors and see how many I actually have, but I'll wait until I ship my POL. But, then again I know me and I'm afraid that will lead me going onto a side quest of filling the holes if I'm only missing a few and with the prices of Laser Light Skeletor from the vintage line that quest would never be fulfilled.

Yay... Ninjor hit my Pile of Loot. Probably time to ship, so I can get a nice big box on my birthday.

I did not miss out on Beast Man because I learned a valuable lesson about this line after missing out on Battle Armor Skeletor and having to practically trade a kidney to get him later. Speaking of, I got mine and got my custom cape for him at the suggestion of @vicious

How did you attach the thing anyway? Just kind of wrapped it over his shoulders? I went back through the thread looking for a picture you posted of him on Panthor but can't find it anywhere. I know you posted one somewhere because I remember the feeling I got looking at it and not having him...like a hot knife stabbing into my soul and twisting.
The helmet is more-or-less holding it in place on mine. Looking closely, some of the edges of the cape are bent upwards, with the edges in-between the helmet and the head. I think I popped the head off, pulled the cape up close on the neck, and popped it back on, but YMMV pulling the head off your expensive boy. Here's a closer look if it helps:

Ok now this thread is unofficially the place to complain that Origins is getting an amazing Despara figure and Masterverse is not. Even though it's hard to get excited for new female Masterverses since the elbro debacle. She looks amazing and it's hard not to think she'd look better in this scale.

As a collector of both Origins and Masterverse, I think Despara would have lent herself way better to the style and scale of Masterverse. It does look good, but would be so much more bad ass as a Masterverse figure.

I automatically assumed Despara was Masterverse at first just because she does seem to lend herself more to the style of that line with all the extra embellishments. I'm sure she will eventually pop up there too though.

It's certainly innovative as far as MOTU goes. Modern articulation while incorporating "play" gimmicks is also unique it it's own way. Not many 20+ POA toys have play gimmicks.
That was my thought too. Like roboto still has the gears inside thing from the original?

I feel like the line has a lot of cool little touches like that that feel different than say a marvel legends.

Now you've got me searching for a cape for New Eternia Evil Lyn. I'm looking at a hooded black one from the same seller but then there is also one that made for Lady Death that has purple inside and black outside that could look cool on her. This has also led me to Can of Beams looking for some spellcasting effects for her. Do you see what you've done?

Wait until he finds out a lot of these look great on Classifieds, too...

You better pay it back and show off whichever goodies you pick up. Dang, some of these are tempting (now I'm looking).

So Masterverse will be rebranding for the movie in 2026. I hope that doesn't mean it will be all movie figures. New Eternia and POP needs to continue. There's so much more they can do with it.

Received New Etheria She-Ra from BBTS today. She has an almost iridescent appearance thanks to her paints, kinda metallic all over. She has too much of a real life person likeness for my liking. I think I said this before, that she looks like a cosplayer of She-Ra. She has those limited single elbows. She has a new design for the power sword, which, unless it’s not supposed to be the original, it really shouldn’t have been messed with. All in all, not their strongest offering or redesign. I actually prefer the previous Masterverse figure.

That is basically the vintage toy She-Ra sword modernized, which makes sense because this figure takes a lot of cues from the vintage figure.

I can't imagine they'll have enough product to produce just movie figures in 2026. Unless they think the movie will be huge and no other media needs to be represented.

I get the feeling from the reveals that each line will have a focus on specific media, but there will be other offerings to fill out the waves. At least I hope that will happen.
