Masters of the Universe: Masterverse

Just opened up the new Origins Cartoon series figure and it's got me wondering - has there been any rumors about Bow in Masterverse format? I don't LOVE the lil Origins version but I think Masterverse could knock this guy out of the park.
 
Got to open Teela and Hordak last night.

My copy of Teela isn't really a KLUT. I think she looks more like she's giving a stern look with eyelids lowered. Like she's ready for a fight. It doesn't look bad, just the irises are very light, making the eyes look weird. She's otherwise fine. Same body as Evil Lyn from what I can tell without comparing side by side. The overlay makes her ass look too big. The cobra headdress clips on pretty securely on mine. She also has a firm grip on the cobra staff. But also grips the accessories to be the general of the palace guards well too, so much that I definitely want a second copy just for that. I think she looks way more classic than the Revelations version, so that's what she'll be. I do look forward to seeing what they will do with her in the Masterverse Vintage collection, if anything at all.

Hordak looks great and feels big. I think it's a little weird to see his head so separate from that hood/collar. My copy is a little weird, where in a neutral position, the head doesn't line up perfectly with the hood. His teeth look a little sloppy, though maybe that's just what red teeth against a bone colored face will look like? His staff is neat, the serpent is removable - it pegs at the top and the tail spirals around the staff. But I don't think either would look cool without the other. He comes with a Horde emblem shield, and his hand cannon which can swap out and peg at the wrist. I haven't used this yet, as I've got him with the staff and shield for now. The new wings are fine, they seem small, narrow, but long. I think the proportions are meant to mimic the Horde symbol, if raised high, and centered around his face. They're a nice addition and update to the familiar design. And he's a total upgrade from the already decent previous blue version.

I think I already shared my thoughts on Kobra Khan, having received him before the rest. I think I'll cancel my extra Hordak orders, but will keep one extra Khan, and maybe the two extra Teela. Or I'll pare down to one extra Teela. Depends on how her eyes look.
 
@NORM I hadn't thought about a Vintage Collection Masterverse Teela...has one been teased? I've been on the fence about KLUT Teela, since I prefer this look to her Revelations one, but that head...oof. I think I may wait for a vintage one if that is in the works.

I haven't seen any announcements about Vintage Collection Teela in particular, but I have to assume they'll get around to her. I think the latest planned figure I'm aware of is Stratos.
 
I could have SWORN I saw them talk about a Vintage Collection Teela but I think I might've hallucinated it. She seems like she'd be like, #3 or 4 on their list in that style. They seem to always prioritize Teela, Evil-Lyn, Beast Man, and Man-at-Arms for variations.

You'd think there was some kind of order to it, but I really don't think so! If we got the two mains, then deeper cuts like Zodac and Faker? Not the first guys I would have predicted. Stratos is coming, but it could really be anyone after that! IF they're even prioritizing this sub-line at all.

You just reminded me that I went a little crazy and got two Stratos because as a kid I LOVED having him with both sets of colored wings (my dad gave me the red one and my best friend gave me the blue one for my birthday, like, childhood memory UNLOCKED when they announced that figure) but I am 110% sure Walmart will cancel my preorder :D
 
I've been on a run of restoring my vintage MotU figures. Replaced a lot of the elastic bands in their hips, and some feel as good as new. I've also been trying to replace accessories. At the moment, I've been watching auctions for Beast Man's shoulder armor, and Stratos' blue wings (which based on my Stratos having a red jetpack, I assume is the correct set for my copy). So many are broken or incomplete, missing the band that straps around the biceps. Reproductions are more pricey. I'm thinking it may not be worth it to replace some of these things.
 
I would hope Classic/Vintage Teela would be the next character in the Vintage Collection. You would think the likely next 4 would be Teela, Evil Lyn, Beast Man, and Mer Man. But I'd like a really good Vintage Teela. This New Eternia Teela, KLUT, was great except for her eyes. Mine was looking so far up she was staring internally at her own brain.
