Masters of the Universe: Masterverse

So I didn't see this in an email or posted elsewhere. However I just checked out Mattel Creations' website and they have a banner saying from today until June 30th if you spend $75 or more you can get free shipping (US Only). Also lots of restrictions on what you have to buy to qualify (basically no apparel or non-toy items and no made to order items).

Not much, but at least they seem to be trying.....I guess.
 
Ninjor is in-stock on Amazon. As I was writing this he went up from $22 to $23.xx so I'd recommend hopping on quick before the scalper listings raise Amazon's price further:

I got mine today and was tempted to order another but I'm not loving this figure enough to double-dip. The horizontal wrists in particular kill a lot of my interest in posing him. I love the sword's grey plastic color, the cool nunchaku, and the oni mask, but have mixed feelings on the old body reuse. I'm glad the final product has solid plastic hands and feet and not the marbled plastic like the promo shots. His joints are also incredibly tight, too tight in my opinion. The lower knees and elbows in particular needed to be heated and worked into function. One neat little note, he has a little "shelf" under his armpit on his armor, I don't know if this is intentional but it's perfect for "seating" the nunchuck under his armpit.

He looks incredible but poses like junk. Masterverse's articulation layout, horizontal wrists, and chunky armor all work against how you might want to pose him.

EDIT: While I think he looks cool fully decked-out with the Oni mask and everything, he looks even better without the skirt and no masks. I might snip the nunchaku holder and glue it to the back of his belt.

More Horde is always a good thing. I've really been looking forward to seeing what they come up with for Mantenna. He was already such a cool design even without the embellishments of New Eternia so hopefully they go wild and make something awesome.
 
Anti-Eternia He-Man could be a fun opportunity for a wild New Eternia design. Fingers crossed!
 
Oh man. I hope the Anti Eternia He-Man is New Eternia and is just the new Eternia Faker but with the appropriate armor. That Faker but in black and red........would be amazing!

But that entire Wave sounds great. I'm really excited about the next Wave with Teela, Hordak, and Kobra Khan. hopefully that goes up for pre order soon.
 
Amazon shipped out my TC Skeletor and Ninjor today. Kinda regretting not having ordered a She-Ra now.

I know you'd have to pay shipping, but she is still on BBTS. $23.99 with $4 shipping. She's worth having. She really reminds me of She-Ra had she been in the 87 Movie. I think Daryl Hannah was supposed to play She-Ra had there been a sequel. This New Eternia figure definitely gives off a vibe of what she could have looked like
 
I know, I was hoping to not pay quite that much for her. I will if I have to, eventually. Was she semi-exclusive or something? Will she be out at retail?

I haven't seen her at retail. I know the first place she went up for pre order was Wal-Mart.com, as if she was a Wal-Mart exclusive. Perhaps she was timed. But then when the rest of the Wave went up for pre order on other online stores, she was available with them.

I have to think though she will eventually be at retail with this entire Wave. But I can't be certain.
 
For some reason I have that New Etheria She-Ra POed only at Walmart. She didn't seem to be available anywhere else when they first went up. I have her now, but I can't remember where she came from. But it wasn't Walmart. I have Ninjor and Terror Claws coming from Amazon (delayed to tomorrow, supped to be today).
 
She definitely was billed as a Walmart exclusive cos i also preordered her there and I usually ONLY preorder MOTU stuff from BBTS just so I can keep track all in one place. Only reason I would ever use Walmart is if it's an exclusive. Of course I then ordered from BBTS instead when the Walmart preorder never shipped and already have her in hand.

She's got those single elbows, but honestly, they're not as limited in ROM as Evil-Lyn's (at least on mine) and she's a damned lovely action figure. I like her so much more than the first version.
 
I like the figure, but she doesn’t look like She-Ra to me. Too much divergence from, not enough retention of the original design.
 
Tomorrow will be two weeks since She-Ra was delivered and I still haven't opened her. She might've been overshadowed arriving with Blanka and Sagat, then new Joes, and a handful of other things.
