Masters of the Universe: Masterverse

I need to order some Skelcons. Still haven't done it yet. I bought two Rotons long ago when they came out in MOTUC just to have two of those Skelcons and sold the second Roton.
 
I don't have the rest, so I don't think I'll be ordering Blade.
 
I didn't buy the Mattel movie He-Man and Skeletor because my original plan was to supplement the MOTUC movie figures with Masterverse movie releases and I have the Super 7s which I feel are honestly better.

Being that Blade had an action figure though I still kind of think of him as movie and non-movie so I think I'll just display this one with my Masterverse Skeletor minions and keep the MOTUC one with the movie figures.
 
Blade does look excellent. If I had the rest, ordering him would be a no-brainer.
 
I didn’t realize 1987 movie Beast Man was so sought after. Don’t remember where I preordered him, but I wound up with two.
 
Man, Blade just goes up with no warning. But as soon as I saw him, I pre ordered. I do have the Classics version, but this one looks good too, and I do have all the 80's Movie Masterverse figures so far. So, no need to stop now. Hopefully we get Saurod, Teela, and Man At Arms in Masterverse someday.


Surely the next Wave with NE Teela, Hordak, and Kobra Khan will go up soon too. Maybe in the start of June.

Yessir. I'm on record that I'd even buy a young Courtney Cox figure at this point. With having a -mostly- complete (to my tastes and for what I had or wanted as a kid) vintage collection via Origins, the next most important version of He-Man to me is actually the movie version. I probably watched more hours collectively of that movie than I did of Filmation, New Adventures, and 200x combined. And the cast is really not insurmountably large for a sub-line to get to them all.

We NEED some Skeletor Stormtroopers, though. Badly.

Stormtroopers, Gwildor, Saurod, Karg, Kevin, Lubic, Julie, Sorceress, Duncan, Teela. I think that's basically all we need for a complete cast, right?
Throw in God Skeletor, and it's still only 11 figures.

Only problem there is there are a LOT of likeness rights to pursue which might make doing them all a bridge too far for Mattel to try and traverse.

Didn't stop them from making He-Man. But yeah, you're definitely not wrong there. I wonder how close they could get and if they'd be willing to give it a go. Honestly, would be nice if they could just secure the rights. I doubt any of those people command big bucks these days. No shade on Chelsea Field, but the only thing she's really known for in the last decade was some off-shoot of NCIS. But I'm just dreaming, I imagine. Mattel doesn't care that much.

If there's money to be made they definitely care, but I don't know that they would think that was the case with some of those. I'd love to see them at least try for Teela and Duncan. Maybe Sorceress.

That's what I meant - I don't see Mattel caring enough about what the fans might like to see as its own worthwhile thing, and I don't see them thinking there's enough money in it to even try.

Which is so weird considering how dogged NECA is about getting likeness rights and how much goodwill (and how many sales) that has engendered for them.
 
I'm just going to say this, Ninjor is the shit! I know I commented on him and said I liked him in an earlier post when I received him. But just sitting around playing with him, posing him with his weapons, and putting his different masks on. This figure is excellent.
