Masters of the Universe: Masterverse

My sister had some PoP figures, and I remember that I was bummed the Filmation art didn’t more closely resemble them at the time. I especially loved the “tiara to mask” feature on the original She-Ra toy.
 
I don't need every character in NE either, though I've liked pretty much all of them. One of the strengths of this line is that aside from those two modern animated kids show figures, they all really look like they can belong together on a shelf. I appreciate the symmetry.
 
Gents, a very important question: I have just discovered taht the hood on the Skeletor that came with the Havoc Throne is REMOVABLE. Am I displaying him as "casual and bald AF Skeletor" or do I keep the hood on? Because hoodless Skeletor is a HOOT.
 
Well... we have LOTS of hooded Skeletor figures. How many hoodless Skeletor figures do we have? Keep the hood off if only for uniqueness.

That's what I was thinking. I mean the throne Skeletor looks like ten miles of bad road so he's got a unique vibe, but no hood really sets him apart.
Now if I could just get the cape to stay on...
 
If he came with a down hood over his shoulders, I’d be more inclined to display him that way. Without any hood at all, it would feel like something’s missing.

And yet ... man, do I want more of the characters from the CG show in Masterverse form... especially some of the designs that were going to be part of season four...

It's not lonely out here on my island!

This is where we need a good third-party soft goods cloak. Then it could be displayed with the hood up or down. I need to look around. My Skeletor and throne are out for delivery today.

Would love more Princess of Power themed figures, except that I'm not excited for female figures ever since the elbro change. I went from scouring box art and hyping up this thread (or fwoosh) about possible female figures, to scanning right over them without any interest. Sad. Here's hoping they pivot back to double elbows.

Unrelated but I was watching The Man Child's review of Vintage Faker and his tape recorder in his chest is die-cast metal. Pretty cool if you're into that sort of thing. Where do people stand on this Faker? I'm still on the fence; New Eternia is certainly cooler, but this one looks fun, too.

I'm excited about the Vintage Faker. But I do love any and all Faker figures. The fact the recorder in his chest is die-cast is awesome. I do wish vintage Fakers weapons were the same color orange as his chest armor though. So it would look and feel more like the vintage toys weapons.
 
I POed Blade too. I was on the fence, because I don't usually collect any type of movie figures across all lines, but dang it, this one is just too cool.

I don't like the mismatch, either. I'd be fine with all of it being that bronze color or the orange color, but split between them is weird.

I'm about to preorder Blade, too, and my Terror Claw Skeletor, Bone Throne, and two more Skelcons are on the way from BBTS. Everything's coming up Milhouse!

PS: Like Swoop, I was also tricked by the BBTS email and half-expected a Beast Man restock. lol.
