I noticed we didn't have a thread for Mezco One:12 figures here in the Marvel forum. I have a question about 'em, so I figured I'd get it started!

I don't collect this line, but I keep coming back to Green Goblin and Doc Ock and have just about convinced myself to pick up one or both to see what the fuss is about. Has there been any indication of future classic Spider-Man villains that might be in the works? A One:12 Mysterio could be pretty incredible.

Their most recent tease for a silver age character was Hulk. They seem focused on Avengers heroes and Spidey & his classic villains. I too think Mysterio could be awesome. The quilt costume material being pretty key. Lizard and Kraven strike me as other characters they could nail.

Both are tempting. Hulk looks incredible. Almost too detailed for what I expect from this line. But I’m glad they went with more of a Mezco-ization for Kurt’s costume design. I want the line to be more set apart from other Marvel lines, like it was in the beginning.

Wow. I'm almost certainly getting that Hulk - very interested to see how he scales, but so far I like that he doesn't appear enormous.

Nightcrawler is my all-time favorite so I might have to get him too. I don't collect any One:12 (despite almost daily thinking about the FF, Doc Ock, Green Goblin...). Very interested to see what accessories he comes with.

The lack of skin texture on the face is so different from the rest of the body it really stands out. Pretty sure I'm good with my multiple Legends Hulks.

That head sculpt is exactly how I picture the Hulk though.

I'm thinking about 8.5 inches.

I could wind up with Hulk, depending on price and articulation. The head looks way too big to me. I get antsy to replace figures once they've been in my collection too long. The ML 80th Anniversary Hulk is excellent, but I've had him for six years now.

Nightcrawler is decidedly not for me. I stopped regularly buying Mezco figures a long time ago, but I never liked the Mezco-ification.

Is it just me, or does it look like they heavily based that headsculpt on the classic image below?

It's not just you. Definitely looks to be based on that art.

I've pretty much quite collecting Mezco One:12, but I cannot lie and say I'm not tempted by both of these. Hulk looks REALLY good, and Nightcrawler being my favorite X dude is going to make me really have to fight the urge to preoder.

Can’t decide if Hulk is Silver Age enough to pass my really strict Mezco rules and pass with their existing Cap, Thor, Spidey, etc. I passed on Dr Strange bc of it and sometimes I regret it and sometimes I don’t.

yeah. I was watching the Nacelle MCU doc and they made a good point. The Ed Norton Hulk design didn't work for a lot of reasons but one of the main ones was the Hulk design was ... ugly. Hulk is a monster but he isn't that ugly. The body doesn't need that amount of texture and sinewy striations to his every muscle. Might make me out on it. Its well done but it doesn't "go" with the Thor, Spidey, Cap, etc they just did.

Is Silver Age Cap still on track to come out this month? I swear that preorder has been active for like a year and we’ve heard fuck all about it since it was first solicited.
