Marvel Legends Two-Packs

I'm having a hard time nailing down what I want my standard shelf pose for Muse to be. I could have him ready to strike with some knives, that feels good. Couple of options there. I also feel like he's got real anime sicko vibes and like maybe he should be in a pose with one knife and the open hand where he's cutting his own hand like the wack-a-loon he is. Or do I do a classic sort of Scream Ghostface pose where he's using his fingers to squeegee blood off the knife? Decisions decisions.

Well, lo and behold, my Muse/Bullseye sets arrived, and in good condition considering their journey. Of course, it was so anticlimactic after everyone hyped this set up!

My gripe is maybe silly, but I wish Bullseye had spots to holster his firearms. I guess the loops on his belt and back are for a knife and machete respectively? While I like the blood on the blades, I don’t love it on them when they are sheathed.

So I want Muse to have all the bladed weapons, but he also has no where to store them. Even his hands don’t seem appropriate to hold them. Let alone that spray can (which should have been able to store in the pack on his back.

I like how both figures look, they are sharp. I don’t want to use the traditional BE head on him, I like the balaclava look just to set him apart from what I’m used to. But it lacks expression. There’s plenty that eyes can emote by themselves, but these look kinda dead or passive. Not very Bullseye.

These showed up along with a separate delivery of the Punisher mech. Now that thing is sick. This set? It’s fine. I’m glad I have it though, I’d hate to have missed out on it or lost it due to circumstances beyond my control.

Saw the Quicksilver/Black Widow in 2 different stores yesterday. I love that outfit for Quicksilver, but that set is just too bare-bones. Esp. when if first came out at $55 and now it's $60 or more. Christmas sale for this one.

I know I'm late to the party with these, but I finally received my Medusa & Gorgon set yesterday and they are simply wonderful. Excellent engineering and deco on both, sculpts and portraits are on point, and just enough innovation to spice them up above the average Legends product.
Now I know it's already been mentioned numerous times but, daaaaamn Gorgon is waaay too big. I'm not complaining; I'll gladly take the extra heft but, it just so happens I have that new Abomination out because I'm doing a little modification-job on him, and Gorgon is nearly the same height.--which equates to about 8 1/2 feet tall when he's listed at 6 1/2.
What the hell were they thinking. Who greenlit that decision? Still, color me impressed at how well he stands despite those digitigrade hoof legs. He is incredibly stable.
Anyway, the only modification I think he requires is to shine-up his dull cuffs, kneepads, and tiara with some silver paint. Other than that, he's glorious.
Medusa is also magnificent despite the useless hair articulation. I would have liked to have seen them innovate with swappable, keyed-in hair accessories with-or-without bendy wire, that could be engaged like her faceplates to grab someone or something in front of her, or hold something up in the air. As it is, I don't really get what they thought that hair swivel would accomplish. But again, other than that, she is superfantastic and quite the sight to behold!

Now, ...do we really think they will reissue an improved iteration of Karnak?

Yeah, I really don't like his height. He made me have to change his entire shelf area because he hid any normal height figures behind him. I had to rearrange probably a dozen figures from where they were just because of him. It turned out pretty good, though.

Yeah I’ve had Gorgon for a couple of months now and he still just seems like he’s from another line or a long lost Select figure, and I really don’t know if or how he’d be worth modding to make a bit smaller.

If they were willing to devote extra plastic and a small amount of bespoke sculpting to this set then I’d have far rather seen Gorgon go on the Hercules body and Medusa’s hair be done with more jointed/alternate/plug-in parts, especially as the weird face plate thing doesn’t stay on well.

I wish I’d waited on getting this set at discount that full price now, seen it with £10 off a number of times already.

I don't even have a knowledge of the character from reading, but after doing A LOT of research, it really seems (unless marvel avengers alliance?) they just did that to do what they wanted or to use that tooling. I am going to guess almost no one who is a big fan of the character or the In-humans in the form the other characters are in wanted him that big. It almost makes it useless with the other figures, and of course it's useless by itself, why would you want that figure displayed in isolation? I suppose like you mentioned you could put it with select figures, kind of?

I have no problem integrating this Gorgon into an Inhumans display. It's a great figure, it's just huge. I agree that it should be on a smaller body, and that Hercules would have been ideal. But this figure is still fun, and has enough articulation in his legs to crouch down to hide a lot of height. I think it's just another example of how the Inhumans keep getting shit on. They're a fun little corner of the MU, but at best a D-list team. But it's also a complete team, and for that I'm grateful.

I will say the only thing that makes his scale not stick out like a sore thumb is the fact that he stands next to a 1 ton bulldog with a mustache.

Speaking of - any of you display the 3.75" Lockjaw with the ML team instead of the 6"? The 6" does absolutely nothing for me, eats up space and the faces are awful, so I've been thinking about swapping.

That seems like a great idea. But then you lose the effect of making Gorgon look less absurd. But I would also like to see that.
