Marvel Legends Maximum Series

Thor went up today at all the usual Fan Channel places for those who like to preorder things. I'm personally really stoked for this one but holding off on pretty much all preorders these days - not going to worry about getting one in ahead of time unless he starts to presell out, which I don't think happened any previous Maximums. I think Thor looks far better than any of the previous offerings, but I'm not too worried about rapid sell through at the higher price point.

Wait, I just realized that Throg doesn't have a tiny wired cape. Weak! Thanks for nothing Hasblow.

Those Asgardians plus Heimdall are some of the very rare exceptions where I'd be almost as happy to get modern iterations as classic ones, so long as the moderns were from the Straczynski & Coipel / Asgard in Oklahoma era - the right versions to go with Maximum Thor. I love this run and these designs and I'd be thrilled to see them made.

I completely forgot Thor went up for pre order today. I was happy Pulse still had him when I got home. I definitely pre ordered Thor. I love me some Thor, and who couldn't use a Thor Frog in their collection. Legends Throg and Black Series Grogu are going to unite and run shit in my toy collection.

Then again........Grogu might try and eat him.

Preach. Those are all gorgeous designs I’d happily add to my shelf. As much as I prefer the classic/Bronze/Platinum Age designs, Asgardians are one of those rare occasions where I’m fine with multiple designs.
 
I definitely there down a couple preorders. I’m wondering if I could justify putting this Thor in my therapy office, like with some Egyptian gods and maybe Odin and Sun Wukong, get some world-culture stuff going.
 
I worry that the fact that Odin went (and has stayed) on sale so quickly after it was released, that Hasbro feels they wouldn't make the necessary sales for figures that would likely be all-new, hard to re-use, tooling.
 
Well Odin is a bit large and was overpriced when he came out. If they made him a better size, they could've dropped the price a little and I think it would've sold better. As is I still don't even have him because of the scale and og price. Maybe I'll get him later, I doubt with him coming out recently and going on sale I don't think we'll get another crack at him soon, so I'll have to live with this one when I feel like grabbing it. But I'm in no hurry.
