Marvel Legends Maximum Series

@Akatsuki I think the toothy head is supposed to be based on Mike Deodato’s art. Did he draw the Immortal run?

Good point. Probably the only solution is for it to be Maximum Tony Stark and he just comes with all the pieces to dress him up in every armor he's ever worn.
I suggested Extremis with removable armor plating in this thread or elsewhere at some point. I think Akat would go for that. Would certainly be my pick.

We gotta petition for a Maximum Iron Man for Akat.
Wow you really twisted my arm.

I would think he would need removable plates. Extremis was done well already, I would vote for the current Ackerman run that is steampunk with a giant sword. Could swap parts. I also remember that "swiss army knife" armor around 2017 that got a nice figure, but they could really do the extra bits now. All that said I would still buy Extremis. Personally I think Deluxes like Titanium Man and that amazing Hulkbuster are the way to go and use Maximum for a new Coipel Thor with lots of effects and likewise Human Torch and Mr. Fantastic. But that's just me.

You are probably right. I just think the head looks creepy, not in a bad way, just sinister. And that’s the kind of sort of evil vibe I associate with Immortal Hulk.

Thanks! Of course I’d love a Maximum Iron Man! The hard question is which armor. The retro carded Modular Armor Iron Man with the giant proton cannon, multiple heads, and effects was already like a Maximum series figure.

Classic Iron Man could work if you load him up with accessories like the roller skates. But Hasbro alleys have the Secret Wars figure the skates.

Could do a redo of Silver Centurion with larger pauldrons and chest and a new head and torso and backplate. Lots of effects like the Marvel Select figure had, like his uni-beam and pulse bolts.

Extremis is one of my favorite armors. I think the current figure is great. Maybe could be improved with the way the pauldrons work. Maybe thicker limbs. It depends on the art, because sometimes Extremis was very sleek but other times it was intimidating with a strong silhouette.

The current Iron Man with the giant sword would certainly be fun. Not sure if enough people would support it, but I’d buy it.

Definitely want the villains. A deluxe Titanium Man that can move like the Destroyer Armor would be wonderful!

I’d also love to see a Coipel Thor, Dr. Doom, and maybe Magneto with a shadowed helmet and lots of effects.

Hear me out on this; I feel like a Maximum Series Iron Man is the perfect chance to give us an Iron Man that has removable armor pieces that can be swapped between 'regular' and 'battle damaged.' I LOVE battle damaged figures, and I think it would be really cool. Plus, Hasbro seems to be very excited lately about always mentioning what figure photographers can do with their figures.
Imagine figure photographers getting hold of a figure that can literally go from pristine to 'beaten all to shit' over a single photo set.

Edit: My dream is actually a battle damaged Wolverine - but realistically that's a whole figure on its own because there's no way to really make him able to be disassembled and re-assembled with battle damaged parts. With IM specifically, the armor panels offer a built-in design break for where those pieces would be partitioned out.

Battle damage would be a lot of fun. Of course I’d love a battle damaged Iron Man. Swappable parts are cool, too. I would just hope that it would be too fiddly with parts falling off. Like I loved the old 5” Toy Biz Iron Man figures, but their armor could fall off easily.

I was having fun testing out Spidey's balance & joint strength. Once I found the sweet spot, I left him on my table like this most of the day, without any sign of wilting.
